18+ Game Link to Roll20 Listing Start & End Times: 7pm ET to end of in-game year. Usually 3-4 hours. Frequency: Weekly Communication: Skype or Discord, voice only What is King Arthur Pendragon? Relive the grandeur and romance of the greatest of all legends - the story of King Arthur. Assume the role of a knight starting his career in the time of Uther Pendragon, undertaking quests and perilous adventures for your lord, for your lady-love, for your faith, or for your own glory. Win great renown with your laudable deeds and feats of arms, perhaps even winning the right to carve your name into the Round Table itself as the story of Arthur and Camelot unfolds around you. Wikipedia Entry on Pendragon Hello, Thank you for looking at my advertisement. I'm looking for 4 more players to play as knights (male or female both equally welcome) during the era of the Pendragon kings. The campaign will be using the Great Pendragon Campaign. An epic spanning 80 years from the reign of king Uther to the tragic final days of Camelot. For those unfamiliar with the system I'll provide a brief over view of a typical year in the campaign. A typical in-game year is divided into four parts. The real-time completion usually takes 3-4 hours. Spring Court: During this phase the players will have their knights engage in the courtly aspects of knighthood. Trying to gain information about the realm, fellow knights or ladies. Or if you want to use your courtly skills to gain Glory for yourselves and increase your renown throughout Britain. Go hunting in the wild forests where you may find anything from boars to bears to unicorns! Visit the city to buy goods that you may not have access to during other parts of the year. Or meet heiresses/heirs to find a potential partner to build a legacy that will be renown for centuries. Adventures: This phase is where the knights will be given orders from their lord to complete. Or, they may have the year to pursue their own interests. Go fight against the Saxons who have been invading Britain in ever greater numbers, or perhaps learn from the peasants of bandits that have been making their lot even harder. Christmas Court: Similar to Spring Court with the addition that the players may learn of the consequences of their actions earlier in the year. Winter Phase: This phase is an abstraction of the stewardship, aging aspects of game. Normally player knights start as land owners with their own manor. During the Winter Phase players learn how bountiful the harvest has been or if they wish to build improvements for profit or Glory. In addition to themselves players have an entire NPC family that is part of their legacy. Brothers, sisters, uncles and children grow older, marry, age and die during the Winter Phase. One aspect of Pendragon different from other games is since the Campaign is divided into in-game years knights will grow older as the Campaign marches on. Eventually the strongest knight will feel the effects of time as the wear and tear of years weigh down. Knights will need to make sure they have gained an heir to continue the family legacy before they fall in battle, or to time. Roleplay to Rollplay: I really enjoy the Roleplay aspects of Pendragon as the creator put so much effort in creating an evocative setting. And, the mechanics inform Roleplay in the form of Traits & Passions that reward characters for consistent actions stemming from feelings of wanting to be Just, or Valorous or Decietful. There is also Rollplay as knights will often find themselves fighting Saxons, monsters and whatever else threatens the realm. There will also be epic battles between hundreds of knights where players have the chance to turn the tide for their side and gain great Glory for their deeds. I hope that provides all the information you'll need to see if this game is a good fit for you. If there's something I didn't touch on in this forum post please check out the Roll20 listing and I'd be happy to answer any questions you have. Thank you for your time.
