Trouble with dynamic lighting

I watched all the videos and got the dynamic lighting set up. I can see it working on the dm screen but all of the players see nothing but a black map. I have cloud of war turned off and I have the box checked for all players to see the light but still nothing. How do I fix this?
do the players have sight? on the second tab of the token.
Have you checked the block that says "Has Sight"? If that is not checked, the players will not be able to see anything. Also be sure you provided them with a light source to see by. If you have Dynamic Lighting enabled but there is no light source available, the players will not be able to see anything.
Yes I have the "has sight" box checked and one of the tokens has a light source. I can see the light source on my dm screen.
Hmmm if I turn off the force line of sight it started working sooooo idk lol. Thanks for the quick replies.
Maybe try centering the players on the place where their characters are located? When they log in, or when you move the player ribbon to a new map, they probably default to the upper left corner of the map. If their characters are located somewhere else on the map, they will likely only see black and you must center them to the spot where their characters are.

Yeah your right because on open maps they can still see but ones in a room they can't. I'll go read up on how to change where characters start and get it fixed (very new to this lol). Thanks for your help

You can't change where they start, but you can tell you players to zoom way out on the map to see where their characters are when they load in, or use shift-left click to pull them to where you want them.
When they zoom all the way out it still doesn't show anything but as soon as I turn off "force line of sight" it shows the map (just realized I was doing this post on my fiancés account)

Can you post a screen shot of what the tokens settings are, page settings and what the player is seeing (select a token and press ctrl+L to see what it sees)?
Alright I will when I get off work in four hours and have access to a computer instead of just my iPad

All the settings seem right. Do the players have proper control of the tokens? You can only see from tokens that you have control of
Well I'm an idiot. That's all it was lol. I switched her token after getting my pro membership lol.

Gottem, coach! Happy Rolling!
Thank you very much!!!!
Yep, glad you got the issue resolved. Dynamic Lighting and Line of Sight are 2 of my most favorite Roll20 features, they really depict for the players what exactly their characters are seeing.
