Is there a way to out put the command bottons to a message box with macros /w "@{character_name}" &{template:DnD35StdRoll}{{skillcatflag=true}} {{name=Skills}}{{[appraise](~appraisecheck)[balance](~balancecheck)[bluff](~bluffcheck)[climb](~climbcheck)[concentration](~concentrationcheck)[craft](~craft-list)[decipher scripit](~decipherscriptcheck)[diplomacy](~diplomacycheck)[disable device](~disabledevicecheck)[disguise](~disguisecheck)[escape artist](~escapeartistcheck)[forgery](~forgerycheck)[gather information](~gatherinformationcheck)[handle animal](~handleanimalcheck)[Heal](~healcheck)[hide](~hidecheck)[intimidate](~intimidatecheck)[jump](~jumpcheck)[knowledge](~knowledge-list)[listen](~listencheck)[move silently](~movesilentcheck)[open lock](~openlockcheck)[perform](~perform-list)[profession](~profession-list)[ride](~ridecheck)[search](~searchcheck)[sense motive](~sensemotivecheck)[sleight of hand](~sleightofhandcheck)[spellcraft](~spellcraftcheck)[spot](~spotcheck)[survival](~survivalcheck)[swim](~swimcheck)[tumble](~tumblecheck)[use magic device](~usemagicdevicecheck)[use rope](~useropecheck) }} like with or another macro? !msgbox?

If so, this section of the Roll20 Wiki describes how to call Abilities. You can insert an Ability call into the body of a  Macro to call it easier from the Text Chat. For example, If you have the above Macro created, you can call your Ability by typing #msgbox into the Text Chat. I hope this helps.
I am trying to get it out of the chat box and into its owm msgbox

You can copy and paste the buttons from the Text Chat directly into the Bio & Info and GM Notes text fields of a Character, or the Description & Notes and GM Notes text fields of a Handout. This is called using Journal Command Buttons . Is that close to what you're envisioning when you say that you want your macro to have 'its own message box'?

If you mean a pop-up that shows up when you trigger the macro, you will need to do some pretty detailed roll queries which will almost certainly require lots of html replacements. If you are calling sheet generated abilities that output a roll template or otherwise have problem characters, you won't be able to do this (as most sheets don't expose their macro code to the user for editing). useful wiki and forum posts: <a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/Macros#Advanced_Usage_for_" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/Macros#Advanced_Usage_for_</a>... <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/3905546/easily-n" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/3905546/easily-n</a>... <a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/Dice_Reference#Order_of_Operations" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/Dice_Reference#Order_of_Operations</a>
