[LFG] Weekly Game (no D&D), weekends or weekdays after 5 PM CST

Hello everyone! I am a long-time roleplayer who finally has some privacy again after a long period without, and am thus looking to get back into roleplaying. I can do voice- (though probably not video, as my only webcam is on my netbook) or text-based roleplaying, though in the case of the latter I'd prefer using voice for OOC questions/chatting/clarifications. I can roleplay any time Monday through Friday as long as it's after 4:30 PM CST, though probably 5 would be safer, and I'd prefer to be done by 10 PM CST since I usually wake up around 6:30 AM. I'm also available all day on the weekend though I'd prefer after noon instead of in the morning so I can get chores done. As for what to play, I'm pretty open to several settings/genres. I'll list my favorites as well as ones I don't enjoy. Preferred Settings Exalted - I've played quite a bit of 2E and have read a bit of 3E. I love the setting more than the game mechanics, so I'm equally fine with homebrewed/adapted rule systems being used to play in this setting as I am using the actual mechanics. Shadowrun - I've played the heck out of 4E as well as run a few games myself, and I have the rule book for 5E (in which not too much has changed anyway) so I'd be down with this. Generic Cyberpunk - I'm not married to Shadowrun and in fact would be fine with leaving out the fantasy elements in favor of a straight cyberpunk setting. Warhammer 40K - For the Emperor! I've not done any roleplaying setting but I've played quite a few of the video games (both Dawn of War games, Space Marine, Kill Team, Space Hulk, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada, and Regicide) as well as listened to several audiobooks, so I know the setting fairly well and very much enjoy it. I'm not too interested in Rogue Trader or Dark Heresy, but Only War and Death Watch do seem appealing, as well as any custom mechanics games set in the 40K universe. Medieval Fantasy - I love the medieval setting, as well as magical elements, but I intensely dislike D&D. Weird, right? Here's the thing: I want magic to be something of weight. Not something as mundane as a light bulb in modern society. My ideal fantasy setting would be one in which every character could use magic of different types/schools/methods but not exclusively (i.e. no "wizard" class, but rather as warriors or healers augmented by magic) or one in which magic does exist, but is dangerous to use and/or comes with consequences. For the latter, I love the way Shadowrun handles magic use- even if I'm not a huge fan of magic in a cyberpunk setting. Using magic (and especially powerful magic) can have very negative and painful consequences for the mage doing so, even to the point of death if pushing it too far. I find that far better than the X Spells Per Day system. As far as settings I like in this genre, I enjoy Lord of the Rings (<3 Shadows of Mordor), A Song of Fire and Ice, Dark Souls, and Spice and Wolf. Mech Roleplay - Giant war machines blowing the crap out of each other? Yes please! I'd love to play a game set in the Titanfall universe specifically, with two (or possibly three) game layers in the form of pilot/infantry combat, mech combat, and possibly space combat. I'd also be interested in Mecha Musume (large animu girls instead of robotic mechs) RP but that might be waaay too niche for anyone else to be into that. Warship Combat Roleplay - Again, probably way too niche but something like Arpeggio of Blue Steel or a corollary set in space (à la Battlefleet Gothic: Armada) would be amazing. Or a Mecha Musume equivalent. Not interested in : Dungeons and Dragons, Modern/Urban Fantasy probably (might be swayed), Victorian Era, Steampunk, Ace Combat/modern aerial jet combat dogfighting stuff (sci-fi dogfighting or dieselpunk dogfighting are amazing though) Possibly interested in : Conan the Barbarian-style pre-history fantasy, Modern Warfare, Diesel/Tesla Punk (<3 Crimson Skies) Couple of other notes: I'm 27 so adult content is completely fine though I'm not really looking for eRPing. I'd prefer to play weekly and I will show up for every game barring extreme circumstances in which I'd notify ahead of time. As I said earlier, I also have experience GMing so I'd be down to help with brainstorming if needed. And I'm not interested in any SJW-friendly groups or pointless drama. I'm an adult, I can accept and appreciate criticism, and I can offer it if desired, but I'm not here to engage in OOC bickering and ego games, nor will I tolerate perpetually offended special snowflakes. I've had a long-running group ruined by a pair of lesbians who made everything about their sexuality and I vowed ' never again .' Oh, also, I have Skype and Discord and am fine using either. If there's anything I didn't cover please do post and I'll respond fairly quickly. I'd be down to join any game starting now and I can easily handle at least 2 games, so jump right in and say hello! :D

I'm putting together a group for The Nightmares Underneath (you can find the free version on DrivethruRPG if you want look at the game). The magic system sounds a lot like what you're describing. We play on Saturdays at 7pm EST, and use Skype for communication. Let me know if you're interested.

Unfortunately I'm going to have to decline, because while TNU does look to be better than D&D it still has a lot of the features I dislike found in that game, especially the mechanic of character classes and levels. I should have specified that earlier, so I do apologize for that oversight. But a common element of the games I listed as wanting to play is a more freeform character creation/progression system, instead of the outdated classes and levels model.
I'm looking to get a Shadowrun 5E group going. I have a current group but getting everyone to show is somewhat challenging. I've been GM-ing but willing to share with that and am looking to do more regular gaming instead of hit or miss. My son plays as well but fear not, he is mature for his age (under pain of death) and we still run an adult game. We are central time also and usually have Friday, Saturday, Sunday open for anytime. We are usually up early mornings (4:30AM work at 6:00AM) as well so having an evening cutoff would be fine. We also are more about the story than agonizing over every little detail of the rules. We've been playing 5E for a year but would welcome fresh ideas or direction. We've been recently playing through the London Falling runs. We also play Starfleet Battles occasionally.
