Howdy, I am a long time GM of 40k RPG and I am looking for a group to run some Dark Heresy 2nd Edition for. It would be set in my own tweaked version of the Jericho Reach that I have been using as a setting for over a year. It is a living setting, in which any groups I run have an impact upon. Currently I am running Rogue Trader and Deathwatch there these past six to eight months, with another RT and 2E campaign having resolved prior to that. Your actions will impact not only yourselves but potentially those in the other games, and vice versa. Don't worry about them killing your characters for some reason, I don't do that. I run character driven sandbox style games. I will give you a three session life-raft to start that'll give you some initial focus and direction as we get to know each other and learn mechanics (if necessary). After that I become the Fisherking, dangling plothooks in the water and seeing what (if any) the party bites on. I believe in communicating with my groups to avoid any issues and help keep things moving in a positive direction. I like to tie characters as deeply into the setting as I can, and if you write a backstory expect me to read it and use stuff from it. I run a narrative style of game, so don't expect grid mapped combat, but descriptive settings and situations that enable you to play your character how you intend. Expect to have a ship which you can outfit, resources you can call on, and all the myriad types of danger that 40k provides. Ship battles, large scale battles, and the usual personal battles can all feature in my campaign if your group chooses to partake of them. Mostly how much or how little combat you get in is up to you. Politics are a very real and nasty feature of my campaign, do not apply if this is something you do not enjoy...cause you won't enjoy it. Really though this is all stuff we can discuss in more detail when you get signed on, so lets talk about that process. Currently I am only accepting GROUPS, not individuals. If you apply as an individual I will ignore your post since you didn't read mine. I will accept groups of two players, to a maximum of a group of five players. If you have to build a group to apply, no worries, so long as you apply as a group. If you are an individual and want to join the game, you should post in the thread that you want to get a group together or join one, but do not apply to join the game until you are part of a group. Sessions will be four hours, weekly, and the campaign is long term. I am looking at Wed or Friday for this campaign, and I am available at any time those days so if the Group has a preference I can meet it. It will be voice only, using Discord.
