Import Characters from Herolabs/PCGEN etc

Is there an easy way to import character sheets from other tools. Without having to pay $100 for pro edition to get APIs? Which seems very  high..
That's the only way currently.
Couldn't the importing API macros that have been created , be made a standard part of the package maybe?

You can pay for a month (10 dollars) and setup the needed api script (if it exists) and import your characters then let the subscription expire. You can read up on the  API in the wiki .
Aha yes thanks  of course..  did not think of that.

I would recommend if this is the route you are going to go, do all the legwork first before you spend the cash. Post to the API forums about what you are planning to do and need for the script, get characters built and ready for the import, and get the rest of your game ready for use then drop the money, install the script, and import your sheets. I suggest this as there are things that could go wrong and you could be out the ten if you don't get it done in time.
Hmm OK.. paid the ten. still a free member... not good.

Contact the devs at <a href="mailto:team@roll20.net" rel="nofollow">team@roll20.net</a> about this issue.
You could also have everyone in the group split the costs by gifting the DM with some subscription time.
