Hello and welcome to my pitch! I am looking for a few players to join an RPG campaign set in the Battletech universe and played using the Savage Worlds system. You might be saying “But Biff, Battletech has its own RPG system!” and you would be correct, however I find it insufferable despite many people loving it. Since I am going to be the GM, I chose to go this route. I have been GMing campaigns for about five years now, and an avid fan of Battletech since the mid nineties. I have long wanted to run a campaign but did not enjoy the provided RPG system and for a long time I did not have the time to devote to creating a good conversion. Now that I have, I am seeking intrepid players looking to brave the many dangers of combat, logistics, and politics. This campaign will be played on Saturdays from 2200EST-0200EST using Roll20. Discord for voice (Must). As I say we will use the Savage Worlds system. The Core PDF can be purchased for ten dollars if you do not have it, and I am willing to get one for anyone who joins. It is a very easy to grasp system. I run a roleplay heavy game. You will be expected to speak to people when you want something from them. The game will be set in the Dark Age, January 2nd 3136 to be exact. Wait! I can see you leaving the page. I was not the biggest fan of Dark Age for a long time either, but then I read the era reports and tros, and they brought me around to it. There are no obvious good guys anymore, everything is going to hell in a handbasket everywhere, opportunity is ripe in the air! We have seen an experienced plenty of the Clan Invasion or the Succession Wars, let us delve into the deep dangers of a new era. You can play a mechwarrior, Aero jock, Battle armor commander, or Vee commander (tanks/Vtol). Really, whatever interests you that would be part of a combat lance deployment. The Triarii units recruit from all walks of life, so your character won’t be limited in origin. We can discuss that more if you have questions or when you get invited to the game. Best wishes to you all and I look forward to hearing from you. -Biff
