Experienced DM, looking to help new players find a game.

Hey guys, I've been grazing through forums this afternoon... bloody well sucks that so many people are having a tough time finding a game. Necessity is the absolute mother of invention... so here goes. I would be willing to run several small campaigns, at different times to try and accommodate as many people as possible.  everyone can get a taste of what to expect in a game world, basic battle mechanics, and a foray into some base level role play.   I'm no ultra DM by any means, but I have been playing on and off since 2nd edition, and currently run 2 weekly games in person, with a third online via fantasy grounds.  I'm one hell of a role player, and I find i can get the creative juices flowing in even the newest of player characters.   you guys, and gals just need to get your feet wet. with a rough guess on numbers of people chasing a game, I'm sure we can come up with a decent schedule in no time. Best way to kick this off, is to post if you are interested, with your name, weekly availability and time zone.  once we see where the optimal overlap time is, we pull the trigger and get this started.    *** quick note, let's not go all overboard with posting your well intended and beautifully written character backgrounds and stories.  For now, the idea is to stream line the data gathering process, so we can get as many of you playing as fast as possible.  Besides, you don't wan't to waste your custom tuned characters on level 1-3 mucking about.   Far easier to take a more basic set up that will compliment the rest of the group at a maximum.  Again, the focus is for all of you guys and gals... to get some game time in Finally! I'm currently putting the final touches on a 3ranger/3rogue/4fighter Player character that is going to WRECK my level 6 players in my Curse of Strahd campaign this coming Thursday... hahahahaha God i LOVE THIS GAME! side note... wife might kick me out of the house if i one shot the party...  so if no one hears replies after the 15th... call for help!  It took her like 3 days to stop giving me the death stare last time i killed off her tempest cleric hahaha. Hey BikerMeg, I was looking at your posting of the new game your running.  i have to admit that sounds like a very interresting world to play in! ... I figured a mind like that, who is willing to help out and get these new players some game time is an awesome addition to the mix! as for the schedule, we will find something that works.  My plan is to set up a small league schedule of sorts... many moving parts, but if we have enough players, and dm's we can make it work.

I would be interested.  Thursday or Sunday afternoons would be preferable.  Thursdays around 3PM MST would be best but can make Sunday afternoons work as well.

Definitely interested in this as I've just recently joined roll20.  Never played D&D online before, but I have a decent amount of experience playing offline.  Would really like to play 5e D&D if that is an option(not sure if that was implied already).  I'm available on the weekends preferably late mornings or early afternoons, during the week I am only available from about 8am-1pm CST depending on my work schedule.

I am a recurring DM.  I was running a Saturday evening game, but due to work schedules and training for new position... that game sort of fell apart.  Now that I have a semi permanent schedule I want to continue running games on Sunday nights.  I run a D&D 5E game starting between 7:30 - 8:00 PM EST.  If there are a few of you who would like to play let me know.  I can have a session 0 sort of things to get you to meet each other and establish characters. I am available any time any day after 9:45 cst. I work in retail, so my shifts change daily. If I'm off, or get off early, I can do an earlier session. But my department closes at 9 so I will always be available at 9:45. (Gives me time to get home, change clothes, eat dinner, etc.) Sunday through Saturday CST After 9:45 p.m.

"New" in the sense that I've owned D&D products and books (and played videogames) long enough that I have 3.5e stuff and even an old 2nd Edition starter box and paperback adventure book ("Return to the Keep on the Borderlands") but have lacked people to play it with, so I've just sort of messed around with character creation on occasion. I'm in the process of buying up the 5th Edition books (have all the Core books, Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide, and Princes of the Apocalypse... plus the Starter Set) and I'm making a Pathfinder character to join a campaign my girlfriend is running on here. Would not say no to a 5e game or &nbsp; a Pathfinder one. A 3.5e campaign would also work for me, as I have the&nbsp;Player's Handbook and Dungeon Master's Guide (and a Forgotten Realms setting book), but I'd have to either back-convert my Pathfinder character or just make a new one. EST (GMT -5) Available: Almost any day and time except Friday evenings, as long as my sleep cycles agree with it (and I sadly can't predict those, they're all over the map).

I haven't played any D&D yet, only 'experience' is from watching the Critical Role show (10 episodes in as of this post). GMT+1, I'm free at almost any time, Monday-Sunday, 8 am to midnight. Might be subject to change, but nothing planned yet.
