So what is the "Legion of GMs?" We're a small group of RPG gamers. All of us are GMs and the group was formed with the idea of doing a rotating schedule where everyone GMs a game. The rotations last around 6-8 weeks each and the GM for the current campaign gets to choose what game and so on and so forth. We play on Tuesday nights from 8pm to 12am US Eastern time pretty consistently (barring holidays) and use Discord to communicate out of game.  So, what kinds of games are run? As a group, we're open to try most any game system/setting. Many of us are taking this as an opportunity to try games we haven't GM'd before, or try something crazy that our regular groups wouldn't necessarily be down for, or just enjoying being part of a group where we can actually play and not just GM all the time. Requirements for prospective players? There are only two basic requirement; that you're available to play most games and that you're willing to GM when your turn comes around. As stated above, what game/system/setting is entirely up to you as a GM for your duration and you need not tie into, take over, or otherwise have anything to do with any prior campaign that was run by any prior GM, though you are welcome to at your option. You won't be asked to run until a few rotation, so you'll have plenty of time to figure out what you want to do. So do I have to GM to join? In short, yes. The goal of the group is to learn and play more types of systems, discuss our GMing styles, improve, and to enjoy taking a break from GMing when it's not your turn. What if I've never GM'd before, but wanted to try? That's would be awesome! Every GM gets their start GMing somewhere, so why not get yours with a group where everyone takes a turn GMing? The current game on the docket is BESM, which I am GMing. We'll be starting that game on the 28th, taking next week to finish up character generation. Games that have been played with the Legion so far: Tesseris (homebrew) Vampire: The Masqurade Hollow Earth Expedition Shadowrun Numenera Dresden Files Marvel Heroic Black Crusade (homebrew mod) A Song of Ice and Fire Burning Wheel Gold Uncharted Worlds Fiasco Iron Kingdoms BESM (Current Game) The hook for the BESM Game: Your character (you) is suddenly, unexpectedly gifted with superhuman abilities. You don't know where, why, or how, but you suddenly have them. What they are is up to you. Because of them, you become the target of shady organizations that have no name. They want to keep your existence a secret and capture you. You don't know who they really are, but they want you for reasons unknown and they've got armed, dangerous men after you and they have a lot of pull. Suddenly your face is on wanted posters, your bank accounts seized, and you're on the run. Go. Standard BESM rules, 500 Character Points. No long-range teleportation, no mind control, and no massive wealth. EDIT: The group has generated a bit more interest than originally anticipated (between here and Reddit).  In the interest of including as many people as we can, we might wind up running two different games simultaneously. Players that aren't GMing could then pick whichever of the two games to join on a first come, first serve basis. This will depend on how many people wind up sticking around however, but at the current number, it looks like we'll be running two different games/GM rotations!
What time of day are you running?  Is it always the same day and time?  If the schedual works for me, then I am very interested in joining your group.

We play on Tuesday nights from 8pm to 12am US Eastern time pretty consistently (barring holidays).  If that works for you, let me know!
Really seems like something I'd be interested in, I have a decent amount of experience and for the last year I've been hosting a pretty regular in person game at my house where I DM on occasion. I've been really wanting the opportunity to DM more because I'm still pretty new there and I think this would be a perfect opportunity to not only do that but learn from others at the same time. Looking at the list of your previous games it appears you guys jump around what edition or even game in general you're playing? I really don't have much experience at all outside of 5E so that may be my biggest issue here.

Yes we bounce to different games whenever we switch GMs depending on what that GM and the group wants to do. The group has been running for about 3 years in total, but some players have come and gone, mostly due to scheduling issues.

A lot of the systems that have been played were new to a lot of the group, so there's pretty much always a learning curve when we switch games.  That said, as long as you're willing to take the time to learn the rules, we're pretty good about figuring things out as a group.  Usually there's at least one player (usually the GM) that's got some experience with the system/setting we're playing, so they usually take the lead in getting everyone up to speed. So yeah, as long as you're willing to learn whatever we're playing, a lack of experience in a system isn't a detriment.

Throw me an invite, my availability will be shaky in the next couple months (out of country) but I'd love to keep tabs on you guys. I like to think I'm an aficionado at systems so I'd love to share and partake of new tabletops.

PM incoming!
I have decided that I would like to join your organization.  I will start working on a short Mutant Chronicles 3e campaign.

Hey. I'm new to DMing(currently DMing my first game), but I love it. I've always been very interested in trying out different systems and games, but haven't actually worked up the courage to join any games. I've got experience with D&D 3.5e, D&D 5e, and the D&D 3.5e Iron Kingdoms mod. I've been playing D&D for a few years, so I'm not new to tabletop RPGs. I love to roleplay, and I love to make new characters. I'm currently looking for a new job, so my schedule may change soon, but I will certainly try to keep the time you guys normally play free. Since you play so late in the evening, it would probably end up working out with anything.
Hi. I really like this idea and I wold like to join but my main language is Portuguese and I never tried to GM or play in another language. I consider my English pretty good but I'm not confident enough to GM in it :-( Hopefully some day I can join the Legion.

I did noticed that you guys seem to prefer non-d20 based systems. I have taken time in the past, though, to watch introduction videos explaining some other non-d20 based games.
