Use the official WotC D&D Character Rings on custom Images in Purchased Modules

I really appreciate all the work the Roll20 team does to bring the D&D art and styling into our games. For the licensed WotC D&D products, I'd like to add custom token images to represent player characters or custom NPCs, while using the official D&D ring styling (e.g. blue for PCs, red/green for NPCs, etc.). I want to maintain the style consistency in my games. Some have asked to make the ring available for public use. I'd prefer if we could simply add the ring styling as an overlay on a token using a feature like the Aura 1 and Aura 2 toggles. Instead of a color, the "Ring" selector would overlay a png of the ring in game. If there's a better way to do this in game (rather than having to use an external editor) I'd be all for that solution. I realize there are a million token suggestions, but am not sure if this suggestion is best kept separate. Please advise.
