i need help creating a macro

im trying to create a macro that asks a yes or no question via drop down menu (got that done) then if you answer no to the first question it will have multiple options of other macros to select then add all the numbers together.  can someone please help me fix my macro? this is what i have so far but i want to add an option for selecting between two or more different "cantrips" and having thier values input into the equasion. in my gm's game cantrips are small buff spells that do different things. /me blasts his foe with raw arcane energy &{template:default} {{name=Arcane Barrage}} {{cost= 5 Karma}} ?{Improve focus active? | yes, {{Magic damage=[[3d10!1+18]]}} | No im using my cantrip, {{Magic damage=[[3d10!1+15]]}} }

Hi Matt, the good news is that it can totally be done... however it may take some fiddling and learning to get right. You want to be looking at the  advanced usage of macros for roll queries  in the wiki which will take you through the steps you'll need to get it up and running. So your current yes/no query will become something like: ?{Option1|Yes,<normal damage>|No, ?{Option2|Cantrip1,<effect>|Cantrip2,<effect>|Cantrip3,<effect>|etc etc} } Just be aware that for each 'level' of nesting you'll need to replace key characters with their html entities so the more nested queries you get the more insane your macro ends up looking but when you get them working all feels right with the world ;) Feel free to post back with any further questions (please note that the forums will eat your html entities so posted WIP macros can be a pain... also having them saved as macros in the collections tab will also eat these entities IF the macro edit box is opened again so it is worth keeping a copy off-site or in a characters abilities which doesn't eat the html for some reason lol.
i have read and re read and tried the different ways that are on that page but i guess in not understanding how to make the no value of the original question open up a question of option 1 or option 2. each time i try to get my macro to do this it always puts all the options at the original question :(

It's pretty tough to nest multiple macros within Roll Queries, doubly so if those macros use Roll Templates (and triply so if they also use nested Roll Queries)! A lot of users opt to use a "menu" of Command Buttons in the Text Chat in place of a monstrous Roll Query. A menu that uses Ability Command Buttons typically looks something like this: &{template:default} {{name=Spells}} {{ [Arcane Barrage](~Matt|foo) [Command](~Matt|bar) [Drain Energy](~Matt|baz) }}
