Constant lag with maps

The last few months I have been having a great deal of trouble with interacting with maps during my sessions. Whenever I try to click or interact with anything I have to wait a good 10-15 seconds to accomplish the task. This is becoming frustrating for my groups, and I don't feel like I can play with this. I've tried the solutions on this page https://wiki.roll20.net/Optimizing_Roll20_Performance#Chrome_Specific_Settings but I haven't have any luck. Please tell me what you need from me so I can get roll 20 in a working fashion.

There is no magic answer. Every graphic, every light source, every dynamic lighting wall -- each item places a tiny load on your machine, and it adds up. How many is too many? That depends on your machine and your situation. It's clear your setup can't handle the current load, so find ways to reduce that load. I wish I had a better answer for you. Perhaps others will chime in with things you can do.
I was having simular lag issues last night on maps with only a few dozen items, while other times I've done okay with 10 times that many. I tried to clear history and junk, restarted my computer and that seemed to work for the moment. I'm also using firefox, which seems to work thr best.
Have you tried using Firefox instead?
Ok rabulias thanks so much, IDK why I checked my performance on Chrome after looking at these replies and my CPU chugs like crazy whenever interacting with the map, even though my rig is decent. But everything is the smoothest on Firefox? Anyways thanks all for the assistance
