Pathfinder Spell Macro issues

Hey all, For some reason my Pathfinder spell macros don't seem to work most of the time. I'll do a direct copy from the compendium, but when rolling all I get is a black line (the heading line). I've filled out all the charsheet information so it shouldn't be lacking any values (and it hasn't been throwing an error). On some spells (like Burning Hands), it usually will work without issue. But trying other spells (like Acid Splash or Ray of Frost) will just give me the header line and nothing else. No other part of the template is rendered. Even building it from scratch rather than copying from the compendium produces the same issue. I've also tried deleting the sheet and using a new one, but the problem persists.  Would anyone have advice or suggestions for narrowing down the cause? Without any error notifications received, I'm stumped. I've even tried going to make a fresh game and build in there, still get the issue.

A game's Creator is often able to fix issues with their Text Chat by clearing the Chat Archive (note: not clearing your current Chat Log ). A GM might want to copy/back up the Chat Archive before the Creator clears it.

Also, make sure to fill in any missing info per spell, specifically class and level.  You can also use the recalc button at the top of the sheet to try and force the sheet to look for and /or make changes for auto calculations of attributes to work properly.
@Ziechael: I have done so. As mentioned I also made a brand new, empty Pathfinder game with the same issue. @Vince: I've done that as well. I've noticed sometimes that calculations act a bit off too. For example, not calculating range properly until I switch the options for it a few times, even after recalculation.

You might try importing your character to our beta game so we can have a look. Help us test changes to the sheet. Beta Site: <a href="https://app.roll20.net/join/801350/kEQ72w" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/join/801350/kEQ72w</a> , You can import your character sheet and test the latest changes!
Hi Vince, I've exported it to the game under the name of "Maxkojote Arcanist Test". Please let me know if it was a case of user error. Issue is confined to spells. Burning Hands works without issue, however both Color Spray and Acid Splash do not.

I was able to fix the output by toggling the spell's level on the two spells that were not working ( I just temporarily changed the level to another then changed it back) &nbsp;As a quick test, I dragged Acid Splash over from the compendium and it worked without having to toggle the level. &nbsp;I'm not really sure what caused this. ;-(
Good evening. I am the GM from Max's game, and after being alerted to the issue of the spells not working, I wanted to test and corroborate his report. I tossed spells on a random character by dragging them from the compendium to ensure they were filled in properly, and upon testing, I got a header and nothing else as well. I followed up by clearing the Chat Archive to be on the safe side, but the problem persisted. To further confirm the issue, I also created a new game to test it, assigning a new character a few spells, and had the same issue. While I do not have a solution to the problem, I wanted to confirm that it is consistent across multiple games, and even with new sheets. You can see a snip from our game's chat as well: The "spell details" line is there simply because I tested to see if including the simple spell template would do anything. It's not a tab-down or anything as far as I can tell.

I've tried to do the same fix, but it's not working. Tried dragging a new spell in but the problem persists (and range for it is stuck at 0 initially until I change the setting for it). Is there anything you might have fixed without thinking about it when testing? Otherwise I really stumped why I get the issues in multiple games. I've inspected the page code and the box is indeed empty for me. But the console isn't throwing any errors. This issue only seems to be occurring with spells created after the most recent update (1.65); is the Beta game testing 1.65 or 1.66? Spells created before appear to be working fine. That said though... The macro text seems to be identical (although that (d) may indicate it's deprecated?). Further testing with the macro text though is showing that the issue seems to be that @{spell_options} doesn't seem to pull anything for newer-made spells? I can still pull the values manually (@{repeating_spells_$X_savedc} for example), but @{spell_options} appears to be a blank variable.

MaxKojote, so changing the repeating spells level to something else and then back did not solve the display issue for that spell? &nbsp; &nbsp; The fact it's happening at all is an issue we'll need to look at it. &nbsp;

Toggle one of the options in the Spell Options section above the spell list. Change the checkbox to something then back. That will fix the display for now. This is fixed for 1.66 which will come out next week.&nbsp;
Hi Chris, The provided workaround was successful. Thank you for your help. Will wait eagerly for 1.66! Thanks again to all of you for your help.
