[LFG] [Star Trek Adventures] [GMT+2] Monday, Thursday, Fridays or Sundays Afternoon/Evening

Hello everyone, I've been recently looking for a group playing a Star Trek Adventures at a time that is manageable for me as a Central European person; which would currently be any time during late afternoon or evening on Monday, Thursday, Friday or Sunday CEST+1 (GMT/UTC+2). I would strongly prefer TNG era over TOS era. Partly due to me having fond childhood memories of watching TNG and DS9; but also because the Star Trek Universe had evolved and felt much deeper and diverse to me. I'm not particularly picky about the method of communication - purely written, via voice chat (so far used Discord or Google Hangout for that) or even video chat. Whatever the group prefers. A few words about myself: I'm from Germany, 30 years old and I've been playing pen & paper roleplaying games since over 17 years. My first full fledged game was Shadowrun and ever since I've tried various games: Star Wars D20, Legend of the Five Rings, Warhammer 40k (Dark Heresy and Rogue Trader), Dungeons and Dragons 5E, Star Wars FFG. While I like to play around with stats and rules at times, I just can't enjoy any game without some good roleplaying. Nothing is more fun to me, than to really jump into the role of my character and live out the moment as he would - cursing, getting angry, having a laugh and so on.  Unsurprisingly, English is not my mother language, but I've been learning the language since elementary school and had quite the interest in it ever since. I've been playing about 2 years with my D&D 5e group, all of them being English native speakers and never heard any complaints, so I'm quite confident in my spoken English. It's not perfect; it's not free of accent, but whose is? In regards to Star Trek, as mentioned earlier, I prefer the TNG era over over TOS. I watched TNG, DS9 and Voyager as a child and teenager, whereas I have real difficulty sitting through an episode of TOS. The Kelvin timeline has brought forth an entertaining series of sci-fi action flicks for me, but it's no real Star Trek IMO. Of the few groups that are openly listed here on Roll20, many ask about favorite episodes. A question I can't quite answer with a simple 'season X, episode Y'. There are some highlight episodes for sure, but I can't say that I prefer any episode over another. What I can say though, is some narrative arcs are more interesting than others. I really enjoy those scratching on the perfectly shining surface of the Federation, showing there are still struggles within this utopian society. And I enjoy those, that delve into the intricacies of other cultures; during TNG and DS9 this is most often the Klingon Empire, though DS9 also offers some interesting insights into the Bajoran and Cardassian cultures. Playing in a Star Trek universe isn't really something I have any experience with yet. All the more reason for me to look forward to it, as I'm always eager to try new things. So finishing with this thought, I am looking forward to see if there isn't a group I can join. Thank you for taking your time to read this.

There are currently four or five Star Trek Adventures groups running,  that I am aware of. I am running one. TOS Films Era,  Three others are voice, One is some sort of Romulans in TNG. An other is Enterprise Era, early Pre-Federation.  One is text.   Not sure if their times and days match.  Welcome to the community.

I'd be down.  I'm a newbie to RPGs (although I was a DM for a few sessions of D&D 5E before scheduling conflicts killed it). I live out of AZ, late-20s, male. Loved most of the series/movies. While the AZT timezone isn't super ideal for scheduling, Looking at timezone scheduleds I think it would still be possible (and I can always take the short end of the stick) assuming another people jump on. This seems to be the only LFG that hasn't been hit the entry closure date or otherwise filled up. If there are any questions, let me know! Edit: Your Sunday afternoons would be my preferrable timeslot.

I'd be happy to play any time besoides Tuesday night and Saturday afternoon. I am not a DM bhut I am happy to be a PC
I think he is seeking a GM to run this, with him as a player. I think most of the groups currently running are full. Mine has 6 players (full) and is TOS Films, which is not what he is seeking, in any case.
Yes, that is correct. Sorry to disappoint anyone who showed interest, but I was looking for a game to join, not a group to GM for. At this point I have found a game with the right setting and schedule for me, so this thread could in theory be closed. Thanks for all your interest and replies and good luck with your search if you haven't found anything yet. Live long and prosper.
