[LFP] M&M 3e Campaign in a Modern Fairy Tale inspired setting.

I posted this last week, but it seems like the day was not going to work with people, and after a week it doesn't work with me anymore, however I am still open to running this campaign if anyone is interested. It would be an Every Other Week game, happening on Saturdays, start time can be any time between 5:30pm and 9:00pm central time. Depending on interest a session zero could be this coming Saturday the 9th otherwise it would start on the 23rd  The premise is this: Once upon a time, there were two parallel worlds one was very similar, if not identical to our own world. The other was one filled with beings we'd recognize as fairy tales, legends, myths and the like. The two worlds sat very close together to one another, so close in fact that it allowed people from our world to see across the veil which is how all those stories became stories in the first place Then, some point in the early 20th century a large-scale magical war was fought between the forces of Merlin and Morgan Le Fey the result was the veil between the two worlds ripping open, and the two dimensions fusing together in a somewhat messy, but otherwise seemless merger. Seamless, except for the fact that beings from the other world. (Which became known as Ficta) were extremely powerful. Even young children were ageless and had capabilities that normal mortals could only dream of thanks to the power they received from the widespread nature of their stories. The only thing mortals (later known as Regs, short for Regular People) had going for them is numbers, and they abused these numbers to persecute these powerful beings (later known as Tales) in an era of book-burning and persecution known as the Great Purge. Which lasted for about 10years, until Merlin along with other like-minded magicians, weaved together a massive Amnesia spell which caused all mortals to forget the existents of Tales, as long as Tales didn't act in a manner unlike the mortals themselves. Following the "Great Glamor" Merlin and all Tales which abided by the "Law of Glamor" were forbidden from using their powers outside extreme circumstances (i.e self-defense) and were barred from using magic or other gifts from influencing mortals. In order to enforce the law. Merlin created a volunteer police force of Tales dedicated to keeping the peace, he called it the Grimm Guild. Its job is simple, maintain the illusion of the Great Glamor for mortals, while keeping those who refuse to acknowledge the Law in check, so that another Great Purge does not happen. Skip ahead to 2017, and the Great Glamor is still mostly active, but it's power over mortals has waned, and national governments have learned of the existence of tales but have kept it a secret as long as the Guild enforces the law and assist the government from time to time. --------------------------------------------- You, the players, would be members of the Guild, and the game would play out like a mix of standard Superhero story telling and covert ops as you try and balance the secrecy of the guild and the government while battling werewolves, terrorist, and of course your own inner demons. The game would be PL 8 (although I can be talked into PL 9)
Sounds like a interesting concept, reminds me a little of a Series called Fables/ The Wolf Amoung us. Would Players take the roll of a OC or one based on a fairy tale/legend/myth etc?

My assumption would be that you would base your OC's off the Fairy Tales / Myths / Legends of your choice and put your own spin to it. Original characters are also acceptable if you can fit them in somehow, but generally they'd be more equipment / skill based than Superheroes, anyone with superpowers should be based on a Mythos of some sort, but you're free to put your own spin on it.
Sucks I can't doi saturdays unless it is early EST like 7AM-1PM. Wish you the best in finding people interested and decent.
I have a few ideas for characters....though as for how i would make them is up in the air. Cheshire Cat, Maleficent or another thats more out there based on Susan-Sto Helit (Discworld, So maybe a relative "new" fable?) Where the main 3, but yeah love to come along as it sounds like a fun game, normally seem to start games around PL10 in M&M but im ok with starting a bit lower.

For the level of criminal you'd be facing at the start, 10 seemed like a little high
Was just saying from previous games ive seen, but im fine with starting lower. Other potential side is have the party going up against lower criminals at first to get used to the system/world etc....before the real criminals come out. Would you be using Discord or Skype for communication btw?
