[D&D 5E] first time DM thinking about giving a homebrew a try. Thursdays 10:00PM PST

So, this will be my first time trying to DM a group and have a homebrew in mind. I have been a player for D&D for a while now and would like to give this a shot. This post is to see if there is enough interest in playing with a new DM and are able to play for 3+ hours at this time to form a group. If enought people reply then i will get the game going.
I am Interested New to D&D myself However I have watched/listened to D&D podcasts like Critical Role As well played a lot of RPG/TBStrategy Videogames Even have binder+Notebook+Character sheets as backup copies. Also have 3 D&D 5ed books
That time works well for me. Here is my posting for LFG: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/5536620/lfg-d-an... Read it and let me know what you think? If you don't think I would be a good match, then don't hesitate to say so, I've had worse rejections... Otherwise, I hope enough other players are interested in playing and we can get a game going.
I'm interested. Not new to the concepts of D&D but new to roll20 and new to 5e, but I'm a bit of an overzealous studier.. I've read a serious amount of 5e material.. probably, too much. Lol. I too want to get into DM'ing, in fact I have a small group of RL friends starting up a campaign soon where I will get a chance to test my hand at it. In the mean time, I definitely want to get into some groups to play with to just familiarize myself more with the systems and such. I'm pretty laid back, capable at RP, and willing to play whatever - though I have some premade characters that I'm certainly itching to try out! Also - for whatever reason it is insanely hard to find groups that play late nights PST - living in PST myself and working 9-5 makes it hard to get into these games that start so frequently around 7pm EST (not off work yet, sigh..) - so I'm excited just having someone want to play in my timezone, LOL! Anyhow, I hope theres enough of us for you to give it a go! Good luck and happy gaming

hmm just need a few more... (edit) or just 3, some D&D groups either start out as 3/stay that way
Add me on Discord if you get the game going, or if you want to start one for late evenings.. Aridhol#4421
I'm very interested! Add me on Discord. Ravioli#5986
I would lie to get at least 5 players. The idea is that if we have 5+ then if we lose one ( which seems to always happen sooner or later ) then we can just keep going. I will get a game set up and shot everyone that is interested a link to the game. I think i can get enought people to get a game going.
I have one other not in this thread who wanted to join a game of mine, that would bring us to 5 players :)

I was told by another GM that runs many games on Roll20, that he always shoots for at least 7 starting players and is really happy if he can get 8 or 9. In his experience, most games quickly loose 1 or 2 players early in the game and 1 or 2 later down the line. I'm exited to hear that your spinning up the game and look forward to jumping in. But please, take your time if you need too. I am sure all of us can wait a few more minutes... ahh... I mean days/weeks. We will still be here. I know by experience that it can be a little time consuming setting everything up in Roll20. And if there is anything I can do to help, please dont hesitate to ask.

I wish Roll20's forums had an upvote feature.. I feel like this needs an upvote lol
Im very interested in being a part of this campaign. Im open and free most days since I work morning so if you have room my discord is DandyLion#4377
Interested here! But I'd need more information to consider joining. Congrats on graduating to DM-hood! Be prepared to face many rules-lawyers, noisy immersion breakers, and rage-quits! Just kidding of course, we can't play D&D without you, so thank you and good luck.
I would be interested in playing and might have another player if you aren't booked already.
Also very interested. I am new to Roll20 but an experienced roleplayer. Add me on discord Schlafenhose#7922
so thats potentially 8 so far. cool! :) oh, and even though it is to be a homebrew D&D, what ed(s) will likely be used?
hey, sorry for the late reply today. just wanted to give a heads up. i will be busy the next few days, but i will try to get a game going in the looking for group listing in the next day or two. it will include a basic outline of what my game will be about, a area for everyone to fill out a application, and a place to get updtes on how the game is turning out.
I will PM everyone who has posted on here with a direct link when it is made.
Cool deal man, no worries. Appreciate the update

hmm
ya, there would be no way it would of been tonight. im working on maps ans story lines right now and seeing how that will turn out. i want to make sure that i have the time to invent in being a good DM and not just be a shitty one lol.
then next thursday would be better I take it
Take your time. As a GM of Roll20, I know how encompassing it can be. If you need a few weeks or even a month, take it. Better that you take the time needed, then to play in a half created game. I dont know about the others, but I am in no rush.
will they go left or right??? guess i have to make both. shit they skipped this whole dungeon and are looking to fight a dragon..... ummmm. 1 sec guys...
Hehe, been there more times than I wish to admit.
guess i either Norvalis is really busy or i was not invited. Both are ok and totally understand
