Colors on the macro bars

How come the colors don't work if the macros are selected to display at the top of the screen as a token action? Is there any way to get it to do this without api?

Only Macro Bar buttons have a color picker ; Token Action buttons do not by choice of design. If you would like to style your Token Action buttons, you will have to rely on third-party programs. For example, you can recolor almost any site element (including any button) by customizing the in-game CSS with the help of a third-party browser extension (e.g. Stylish).
