100's of My Campaign Assets Missing

I need a Dev's help with this I think. I'm currently preparing for my group's campaign today and after logging in I see that nearly all of my assets are gone - just blank thumbnails with their names.  Even my icon for Roll20 is effected. This is extremely depressing. What happened? I'm a Plus member.
I think I've discerned the problem, it's just very frustrating as a user. I was attempting to clean up my recent uploads, but it looks to me like recent uploads is some sort of parent directory for all assets you bring into your games? So even if I've organized assets I've imported into different folders, deleting from recent uploads removes them from everywhere? And this deletion appears to happen not right away either - I did this purge of my recent uploads section 1-2 weeks ago and assets in folders were not immediately effected.
Recent Uploads is not a filter, it's the actual uploaded images. If you delete them, they are gone from your Art Library. You may still see them as they are in your browser's cache.
