Date: Sunday, November 5, 2017 Time: Noon PDT / 3 PM EDT / 7 PM UTC http://everytimezone.com/#2017-11-05,420,cn3 If the time and date are no good for you, let me know what works and I may consider starting a second session! I am a GM looking to start a group for an easy one shot (a game that takes only one session to complete). This is great for beginners, and players new to tabletop RPGs are welcome. I have played and GMed hundreds of hours of tabletop RPGs. This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $3 via PayPal per session. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements. Campaign Features We'll be doing a couple missions which contain some light roleplaying, combat encounters, and bit of delving. The session should take 2-4 hours. This adventure will be run as part of the Adventurers League (AL). If you've never played AL before, there's the D&D Adventurers League Player's Pack , but basically you can just fill out a sheet at the end of the session that tracks your progress if you want to play more D&D in the organized play system. If you've never played D&D 5e before, checkout this video series: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OoW2CDgztKY&list=P... The Basic Rules for D&D 5e contain all the rules you need to get started for free: http://dnd.wizards.com/articles/features/basicrul... Read the Introduction and Chapters 7-10 (29 pages in total). Application (7 seats total) Please post applications and questions here. 18+ only. Voice with Discord is mandatory . 1) Describe yourself and a bit about your roleplaying experience 2) What do you enjoy most about tabletop RPGs? 3) What made you pick my LFG post? Character Creation The adventure is for 1st-4th level characters. If you are new to AL, you start at level 1.If you've never made a D&D 5e character before, pre-generated character sheets are available and recommended. Pre-generated character sheets are at http://dnd.wizards.com/articles/features/characte... Pick any of the 16 and use the 1st-level sheet. If you are making a custom character, I recommend CharForge (has everything), ForgedAnvil D&D 5E Character Generator (has everything), OrcPub2 (SRD only), or D&D Beyond (SRD + you must buy anything extra). Why paid GMing? 1. Defray the content costs. I'm hoping to use the money to buy some Marketplace content on Roll20. 2. Prevent flakes. Players (and GMs) are far more likely to show up and be on time if there's payment involved. 3. It takes a lot of extra time to GM. I spend about 2 hours per game-hour prepping. Reading the adventure, taking notes, cross-referencing rules, finding and making tokens, finding and making maps, setting them up in Roll20, adding NPCs to Roll20, going over character sheets, and organizing the session all takes a lot of time outside the game. It's part of the hobby, but as I'm having to put in prep time I'd rather not have to spend so much on the content costs too. LFG Listing

I am interested. I played a very small bit when I was younger but nothing in the last 2 decades. I play a lot of board games and cooperatives like Pandemic so am used to social gaming. I have also been binging Critical Role and it has rekindled my interested in D&D. I am interested in getting back into the game, so I think a one-shot might be a great opportunity to get my feet wet.
I would definitely interested in playing. I have been playing role playing games on and off over the past 30 years. Yes I know I'm old.... :p. I typically enjoy playing clerics and elven fighters, but do sometimes expand my comfort zone and playing a wizard. The idea of playing a few one shot type of adventures sounds great to me, especially if they are something I can drop in on as time allows. Sundays usually work out well for me and honestly $3 is not a lot to spend, especially if you put your time in to give us a good adventure.
Hi Lex, if there’s room at the table, I’d like hop in. Thanks, james
Hey Mr. President, I'm free on Friday, have a Paypal account and would love to try your one shot out. Let me know if that's possible. Thanks!
