I am a complete newb when it comes to editing images with anything more advanced than MS Paint. So when I tried to use Dundjini and Campaign Cartographer to make some maps to use in Roll20 I was totally overwhelmed. I found something else that seems to be working very well for a complete novice like me (I've made 2 passable maps with it so far): http://www.dungeonographer.com/ I'm not affiliated with them in any way, just thought some people here might want to give it a try if they want something on the simple end of map editing software.
Thanks for sharing!
Here is a great free one:http://pyromancers.com/main/

Can you add custom tiles or objects into pyromancers? I took a cursory look at that one too and that seemed to be a limiting factor. Unless that's in there and I didn't see it.
Can you add custom tiles or objects into pyromancers? Yes, that's what the "Add your collection" button does.
Pymapper might be a good one too
