LFP (Looking for Players) Saturdays after @5pm GMT - Roleplay noobs

Hi!  INTRO (important): I'm looking for 3-4 persons that want to Roleplay and can do so every week, long term and with commitment (time in title, i'm actually GMT+2 but i posted it in GMT to make it easy for everybody). There are exceptions: like I know that the Hollydays are coming and stuff like that. Even if we dont play, we would still get together and talk about the game (maybe have a oneshot with someone else as DM, or with different characters). If you cant commit long term, cant commit to the the roleplay aspect, if you are more focused on mechanics than on the Adventure and the Narativium, if you just want to throw dice because in recent years it seams "cool", If you are the " ME!" kind of player, this would not be for you. It is a collaborative effort. I'm trying to start a group of people that want to learn and discover. This group is aimed more at newbees, but i have no problem with veterans at all (and anything in between). Mature content: Swering, curse words, graphic violent descriptors, (M rating on movie boxes) D&D 5th is my most comfortable system but if popular demand says otherwise i would learn something new. About: This would be the most important Base rulz, the basics; and some other info. I will not write a full Scroll WALL-o-text here. I would be your GM/DM, 24 yo male. I've been playing RPGs for @4years. I'm not saying that im a good GM, BUT i aspire to become a GreatGM. The sessions would span from 2 hours to 8 hours, average of 5 hours, but always plan for your time for the full stretch just in case it goes Looong Ive been DMing for online and IRL friends, from 1on1 (gm+player) to 8 people playing I know that is cool to have 6-7 players in the group, but im keeping the group small so that everybody has more time to shine and interact I would like to have a balanced demographic, balanced male+female+other, but its not a must. It gives color and variety Played over Discord. A Good connection is a must. Voice + optional video. Have a good mic, no background noise, hissing, drops etc. Try not to be distracted by SMS/FB/chatting during sessions. I hate interruptions from notification sounds, pets, car alarms, roommates, etc. Immersion is #1.  This would be a Mostly Theater of the mind kind of gameplay, with the exception for when positioning and tactics REALLY matter, or if i fail at describing i would draw a crude map ( i can fail, im human 0.0 ) I do not have any campaign ready made, or stuff like that. I would put in the effort for when I/we find the right group. We would start from Simple to Advanced Together , mechanics and story wise. I'm a highly imaginative and adaptive person, but first I need to know the people that I am adapting to. Notebook + paper Character sheet + Pencil or erasable pen/ marker on plastic covers. I would be rolling Real Dice, you can also do that. Whatever makes you feels more like real table top (Mute your mic if youre eating natchos ffs) and more connected to the game. There will be house rulz and bending of rulz, nothing major, but it will be so that fun and immersion are top priority. The PHB is not the Bible or the law. 40 M, USA UTC-6 Looking to give 5e a go after completely skipping 4e and spending the last few years playing 2e. Hoping for more than hack and slash.  Hack and slash is fun, but I prefer being able to create a real character rather than a collection of stats. Love of character detail.  It can annoy some DMs who don't provide information, but it's important for me to understand the world around my character so I can create a believable human being. Annoy may be kind of a strong term, don't worry I don't pester DMS.  I run more than I play and I learned a long time ago you have to roll with it.  Yes I created a campaign that was supposed to revolve around the court of King Aethelred Unread, the scheming of the queen mother Aelfthryth, a secret society devoted to Edward the Martyr determined to remove Aethelred from the throne, grasping Danes waiting to take advantage of a weak king, and The Dragon of Loch Ness but my players wanted to just wander around Northumbria slaughtering goblins so that's what we did.  I know DMing is a lot of work.

And the grownup part gets a big thumbs up as well. Some nice times where I get to be weird with other weirdos. (Mechanics wise, Im looking for a balance) I actually am an actor. I liked your Larp-ing aspect and mindset. Try to formulate better next time... Your App was not adequate and unfortunately it did not pass; But if you Really want to give a better shot at it, add me on Discord and i'll give you a fair hearing. But i am afraid that there are language barriers that may be hard to overcome. English is not my mother-tongue either (keep that in mind). Those were my observations. For this Saturday the session will be a 2way interview ( for me to know you and you to know me) for those who have the Discord Server Link. For the rest we will talk about what kind of play style you guys have, type of campaign, character roles, maybe character creation (for you as players). Sometimes I write like an idiot. The intent was to join as a player. The rest was basically an offer to assist with stuff in general, I've done so quite a bit for newer DMs in other settings.

I have long appreciated D&D but never played. A group open and welcoming to newbies is something I am very much interested in. Get to know D&D, new friends and the chance to RP. The accent! Reading, creating and telling stories is the part of my job I love the most.

Well, seeing how there are less than 4 hours remaining and only 2 people joined Discord from the ones that i first Invited, I will send more invites. But remember, todays session is supposed to be more of a Get-to-know / two way interview, if everything and everyone fits. So if we find 5 min after the games starts that 10-20 ( 1 million) players joined, it is obvious that only the ones that fit best will stay. But from experience... the people who were really interested in joining would have joined already.

This could be interesting to see how things go. Luckily my schedule is open.  I am twenty and I hail from the United Kingdom.  I have experience in voice acting and I can do a few voices.  I can range from any class I would say but my preferred classes tend to magic types and rouges.  I have been known to breathe heavily in microphone so be warned.  I was sent to this by a friend of mine. I prefer stories myself so I can see this working especially in a team.  While I am free this week I cannot grantee I will be next week due to the two rpgs I am in at the moment that is usually on today will probably be back on next week, I do have Discord by the way.   The only other thing I really have to say is that I hate how people view the alignment system, true neutral being boring for instance when really it just means you are regular person with their own set of morals. The same goes for the rest of the alignments however the alignments would lean more to their preferred sides, sometimes with moral consequences sometimes not, some can be more evil than good at times. Lawful neutral and chaotic neutral can be the same as true neutral. It all depends upon the person. Let me know if you are interested to have me.    

Still open to Apps. Session 0 was spent and out of 7 or 8 applicants only 4 showed up; out of those, 2 are unsure if the will be able to continue. 24 Male, GMT+1 I played a few games in real life but am looking for a fun group to consistily play with :)  I am a fairly new player so firstmost I just would like to get my DnD fix, but I hope to be able to tell a fun story with nice people and share epic moments together. I do have a little bit of experience in acting although I always liked the improv exercises more than the actual rehearses and I like doing voices, but nothing serious or anything. Furthermore I am just an easy-going, down to earth guy who loves making (bad) puns. Since I needed to wait 2 weeks in between sessions I got bored and made 6 other characters with (basic outlines of) a backstory, adaptable to whatever setting of course, so I am ready to go :D

27, male. GMT. I'm Brazilian, currently living in Europe. I'm a complete newbie when it comes to tabletop RPG. I've been reading the players handbook and watching videos about it. I really want to get into this hobbie and socialize with people who enjoy fantasy and so on. I'm not an actor nor can I make different voices, but I've been reading fantasy books (sword and sorcery, grim dark) for a long time and have played thousands of hours of RPGs like Morrowind, Skyrim, Pillars of Eternity and many others. While I can't act, I'm sure I would be more than capable of making decisions based on any type of character.

An immersed campaign, lasting consequences for choices made in game, a stable campaign ! I am an easy going guy, I like to think I'm fun, I don't get upset easily. Yes.. breaks do take place every approx 1,5 hours (i do need to refill ma beer at times -i said jokingly-) I Appreciate the enthusiasm. There are still spots opened. Hi, *39 male, UK GMT. *I can't necessarily commit long term but I'm available now and I see you only have 3 of the 4 required for today, and I can cobble a character together pretty quickly. I also DM so I might be able to aid any newbies and take some pressure off the DM. *Fun and enjoyment, of course. *Well I mentioned I DM, I've run long games, but more recently the odd one-shots for new players due to time restraints so I guess i'm used to playing various characters and having to think on my feet but also at coaxing others to get involved by engaging with them in character. *I'm defo more role, than roll but, though i'm not necessarily able to play regularly; i'd be happy to DM a oneshot for the group now and again.
