Macro is rude to me

Hi there! I'm trying to play with the macros but they're being sneaky and mean. I'll make a command that works perfectly when I test roll it and even after saving. But the moment I open it again a part of the command is gone and, of course, it won't work correctly anymore. I start out with this: &{template:default} {{name=PEW!}} {{[Longbow](! #bow )}} {{[sneak attack](! #sneak )}} (... actually that isn't right? It vanished here as well... after each of the exclamation marks follows  & # 1 3 ; but without the spaces. so... this is definitely where the problem lies, huh?) and save it. It gets me a box named PEW! with buttons inside to use other macros for attacking and the like. But when I reopen it to admire my work: &{template:default} {{name=PEW!}} {{[Longbow](! #bow )}} {{[sneak attack](! #sneak )}} isn't that strange? I got the instructions for this from a video and unfortunately don't know what the & # 1 3 ; is doing. And if there's a way to replace it? It's just a bit frustrating because it works at first! I need a lot of macros so this technique would be very useful. I'm using a tablet. Usually that is the root of my troubles :> If someone knows how to help me I would appreciate that a lot! It's my first try with these little rascals. Thanks, Eumel

You are doing it right don't worry... just don't reopen the macro after creation, doing so replaces the html as you've seen and noticed here in the forums. Alternatively use abilities on the journals as these don't replace html. Top tip: store macros with html either as abilities or externally to not lose your careful
 efforts :)
Ah... it's like that one dish where you're not allowed to open the pot while it's cooking. Or something. Thank you so much! That's a very easy solution!
