LFP on R20 community forums for games not played via R20

Will it be against forums policy to post "Looking for Players" threads for games that would not be played via Roll 20? For example, to recruit players for games that are run in Fantasy Grounds or MapTool. The thing is R20 does everything well, except gridless battle maps. You can't measure distance by moving a token. To do it in R20, you need to measure with the ruler, and only then move your token. And even than you can't be exact, because the ruler will be gone when you move your token. So... I guess, there are two questions in this thread: a) Legality of recruitment for games not run in R20, and b) Can you adjust tokens to measure range while moving on a gridless map? Thanks in advance.

Vladimir R. said: b) Can you adjust tokens to measure range while moving on a gridless map? Press the space bar while you move a token. When you let the left-mouse button go after moving the token, a ghost of the token image will appear from the original starting point and a yellow arrow will be drawn between the ghost image and the current token's position. The measured distance covered in this move will appear. To read more about the waypoint system - check this page on our wiki .
Thanks for the answers. But what about displaying distance in real time, as you drag the token over the map? Is that possible? For example. I wanted to run an Iron Kingdoms game, that has its rules reworked form a wargame. The combat maps are gridless, and it would be preferable to have exact distances displayed as you move.
Aaaand I should have tested it before talking about it. Everything works nicely.
Didnt know you could do that in r20. Thank you Kristin.

Steven: It's new with the Rugged Reroll. You can also hit space again while moving the token around to set waypoints during the move.
You can find more information about waypoints on this page in the Roll20 Wiki. :)
