Hi, new DM here, new to this platform, my players can't see the character sheet in their journal, even if I went to settings and put the dungeon and dragon 3.5 character sheet and saved...am I missing a step?

You need to give them edit control over their sheet (and view control for any characters you want them to see but not edit)

My basic steps for new character... create a new character. open it. edit the bio tab. set view by all, control and edit by player X. rename Player X. Then player X can edit and rename as needed, and will know which on is thiers.
