Hey all, I'm roll20 player here, and have played off and on again from time to time.  And something I noticed about the sidebar/(i) compendium.  It's still unfinished.  For example, the "Backgrounds" portion still only list's "Acolyte", even though there are more backgrounds in 5e.  Is there a reason for this?  Why is it still missing the others?  Legal reasons?  lack of funds?  Either way, it would literally take me less than a hour to fill those in myself.  My players are going to do it anyway, so why not be allowed to contribute?  It just feels like a waste if I'm going to fill those in for MY players, why not just have it like Wiki and allow people to contribute?  Or is there more to it than that.  Would I need to know programming?  I dunno, just a thought.

The compendium can only contain material that is covered under the OGL (which is not all of the phb, let alone other books) + whatever material Roll20 has a license for and you have bought access to. Note that buying a compendium add on like volo's only gives you access, not your players.
