
Have just started a new game, an OSR dungeon crawl, with
dynamic lighting & advance fog of war. An absolutely wonderful way for the players to actually experience exploration
in the dark. They are loving it!
Things ran smoothly, with 2 players. We had a third join about an hour into our
session and then things started slowing down a bit (lag) most noticeably in the 3d
dice – where the graphics were very delayed. Did try converting the map properties to "update on drop"
without much success. I pushing the boundaries here? Would
hate to break map down to multiple 20 x 20 pages as the Advanced Fog of War
provides a wonderful player map, and would like to keep the single page continuity. Though
open to suggestions. Question: is my outline on the dynamic lighting layer too complex?
