New Players looking for DM

I have joined one campaign which is being ruined by 2 players. One of which always challenges the DM and constantly tells other players "You need to do this" or "That was stupid, you overpaid."  its fiction. And its not fun with this guy.  another gentleman refuses to allow any story advancement, as he would rather throw pitchforks at Townsfolk and children than to Quest or follow a story.  kind of sucks to lose your V Card and later find out you hated that person. So far that has been my DnD Experience.  my very good friend has even less experience  we would love to find a DM who is ok with 2 brand new players, and allow 2-3 additional players to join us. Thursday night would be the best for us but we could probably make anything work as long as it isnt Friday Saturday or Sunday as we both have daughters we give our weekends to.  also, we both have recording software and run a Podcast, and I would be interested in recording our sessions, editing them, and I could release our adventures as a podcast. We have access to soundcloud, iTunes, and Google play.  please MSG me if any DM or players are interested!!!
So you are looking for a GM and additional players? I cannot do Thrusday's but I might be interested.  I will PM you a couple questions, let's see what comes of that.  Cool?
That is absolutely cool.  But yes there are 2 of us that want to play. Way too new for either of us to DM/GM we could be flexible on the night
That sounds absolutely horrible as a starting experience.  I’ll send a message too in case things don’t work out with Captain. -M
I would like to join, I'll send you an application.
Sent you a pm!
So where it stands now its looking like Wednesday night or Thursday night, 8PM (EST) Start time, Midnight (eastern) needs to be end point for the game. We could play every week.  Ive gotten lots of feedback and private messages so im going to try to address them all here.  Once we find a DM they can accept new players to join us, as the game would be run by them. Im not sure even how to do that  Both of us are around 30 years old.  I have about 12 hours if DnD 5E total, he has 0 seconds of any experience with these types of games.  We are willing to do Campaigns from the game OR homebrew.  im only familiar with DnD not even sure what the other games are (Pathfinder ect) so preferably we would stick to that.  We would be willing to start as early as Next week.  Im on Discord and we would be Voice Chatting while we game.  I don't mean to ignore the private messages I received but i got about 10 while I was at work and can best address all concerns to most posts at once by replying here.  Thanks for the interest everybody.
And yes we would be more than willing to do a quick "Trial" session the first night to make sure people mesh well.
Do you already have the other players or would I be able to join? I've been looking to join a game but the only day I can play is on tuesday. I know you said thursday but would tuesday also work?
Aria S. said: Do you already have the other players or would I be able to join? I've been looking to join a game but the only day I can play is on tuesday. I know you said thursday but would tuesday also work? I miss read that above, thought it was said that thursday was the day to play, my bad.
Tuesday is a no go currently.
I've been a DM ever since I ran my friends through Ravenloft back in the 80's. I have been running an open world campaign on Roll20 for 6 months now. This game gets better the longer that you play with a group.  I offer a complete open world experience, westmarches style in a city. It's like Grand Theft Auto, but the people that you meet are characters that other players have made in our long running campaign. My players and I develop the opening gambit to our universe. The 2nd-3rd level guild training missions are developed by players who help create a 12th level NPC and a challenging mission that tests a character based on the ideals of the guild that the mission represents.  This is when we play. All day, everyday. any timezone.
