I can be really long winded, so I'm going to drop the basics here for you. It's a psych-triller game. It's a homebrew system that I came up with on the drive home from Walmart. It's so damn easy. It's a semi experimental story. Characters (that's you!) are straight up bird watchers. You little nerds. The setting is modern, rural, and basically just realistic in general. It'll be like... 4-5 hours at a TBD date and time somewhere between 2-4 weeks from now. Probably like a Saturday night is my current guess. What do you need to prepare? Come up with a pretty simple character (see character/setting info below). Have a quiet place you can play. Ideally, someplace you can turn the lights on and off without disturbing/getting disturbed by others. The best case scenario for equipment would be noise cancelling/blocking headphones and decently high quality microphone. Webcams will be required as well, but the audio is going to be the priority. Pick out a favorite bird, or two, or three (you know what it's like trying to pick an ultimate favorite thing in your hobby, nerds). Do a little bit of real research on it. You'll want to have some talking points. And finally, some quick points on the characters and setting. This is going to take place in Idaho Falls, ID. It's mostly a farming town, a few forested (mostly coniferous) areas nearby, but the ground is basically all green as far as you can see onto the distant hills. This is a bit of a population center for what would otherwise be purely farmland, so there's a wide variety of jobs/office buildings, despite hardly being large enough to be called a city. Characters will want to be from here or relatively close by. As all characters are bird watchers, they will all know each other and have at least decently good friendships with each other. If your character is from out of town/state, they'll still be friends from forums/chat rooms/Skype dates/whatever. Beyond bird watching, everybody will (probably) have a job. But presumably it won't be something very exciting. Waitstaff, retail workers, farm workers, construction, social workers, etc are some of the most common jobs in the area. Maybe there will be more details, but I've got to run to work right now, so I'll update this as needed when I come back to check interest!
