Does the PHB being in the marketplace mean the compendium is being removed?

Not entirely sure where to pose this question, but it's definitively something I wanna know before I potentially purchase the product. The compendium is unfinished, but is it gonna be completely removed for players who have not purchased the PHB?
The compendium in place before the PHB was released is 'SRD' material, which is basically allowed to be used and not infringe on copyright (Wizards of the Coast purposefully leaves things out, which is why it appears incomplete).  It will stay up.  Think of it as a very large preview that the publisher allows people to share. The PHB should have everything that is missing in the SRD (well not information in the other books).

As Jake says, it’s purely additive, nothing is being taken away.

I'd actually argue that unfinished is the wrong word and incomplete is a more accurate one. The SRD compendium is the same information that is in the free basic rules, which are still available 4 years after the print version of the PHB was released. It's not going away, but it was never intended to be "finished" or complete.
Alright, good to know then.
