Dynamic Lighting and Light Radius/Start of Dim Problem

My apologies if this has been asked/answered before. I searched here and in the wiki, but I certainly could have missed it. In general, Dynamic Lighting is working for me. The characters properly see line of sight. But the light radius isn't working for me - no matter what the characters can see unlimited until the line of sight hits a wall or door. Also, the dimming isn't working for me - the light stays the same brightness for as far as they character can see. When I drop an a character on a map and go into Edit Token, Advanced Tab, for a lantern I set Emit Light values Light Radius to 60, Start of Dim to 30, and angle to 360. All Players See Light is selected, and Has Sight is also selected. Has Sight Angle is 360, and Multiplier is 1. I've also tried setting the character's Attributes and Abilities, specifically, light_radius to 60, light_dimradius to 30, light_otherplayers to yes, light_hassight to yes, light_angle to 360, and light_multiplier to 1, and then dragging a new instance of the character onto the map. What am I doing wrong? Are there settings I'm missing, or setting incorrectly? I'm having the same trouble with darkvision - the character can always see unlimited until it is stopped by a wall or door. Thanks, PAlterBoy li.li1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px 'Helvetica Neue'; color: #454545} span.s1 {font: 10.0px Menlo} ul.ul1 {list-style-type: disc}
Check the Page Settings for the map. Sounds like you might have Global Illumination turned on.
Rabulias, Thank you! Half way there on the fix. I did have Global Illumination set on the map. I turned that off and the maximum light radius worked. But, the dimming still isn't working. Any ideas what I'm missing on that?
One other thing I've noticed. If I delete the character off the map, then drag a new one onto the map, the Emit Light values are set to Light Radius 60, but Start of Dim 70. If I change Start of Dim to 30 it's now working (so yay!). What I can't figure out is where the Start of Dim value of 70 is coming from. I've looked at the Attributes and Abilities tab and don't see anything that would seem to cause that.
OK, getting closer! I found I had Global Illumination set in the Game Settings, and the 60 & 70 values set there. Now, I think one last problem - when I drag a new instance of the character onto the map, none of the "light_" settings from the Attributes and Abilities tab seem to work as defaults. Should they? So if I set light_radius to 60, light_dimradius to 30, light_otherplayers to yes, light_hassight to yes, light_angle to 360, and light_multiplier to 1, my brain says the new character instance should inherit those values. Is that not how it works? Is there some other way to get the initial values set uniquely for each character?

Character attributes have no effect on the token’s light settings. You need to set the token up how you want it, then set it as the default token again to preserve the light settings.
Thank you, Aaron, that was it. Insert Homer Simpson, "D'oh!" comment for me here...

No worries, it all makes perfect sense once you know the answer, but it's hard to see it when you don't. =D
