Unexpected blank chat entry for first drop down option

I cobbled together a few different macros to make a dropdown menu that results in two options that both result in three rolls being done as a private message to the DM (since this is a DM making the roll) and for some reason there is an unexpected message being sent to the chat that contains nothing but everyone is able to see if the first option is selected (all the rolls remain for the DMs eyes only). Note that the second option doesn't produce the empty message, and I have been trying to figure out what is causing it but just can't. /w gm &{template:default} {{name=?{Attack |Rapier/Axe,Rapier and Axe&#125&#125 /w gm &{template:default&#125 {{name=+1 Rapier&#125&#125 {{attack=[[1d20+8]]&#125&#125 {{damage=[[1d8+5]] Piercing&#125&#125 /w gm &{template:default&#125 {{name=+1 Handaxe&#125&#125 {{attack=[[1d20+6]]&#125&#125 {{damage=[[1d6+3]] Slashing&#125&#125 /w gm &{template:default&#125 {{name=+1 Rapier&#125&#125 {{attack=[[1d20+8]]&#125&#125 {{damage=[[1d8+5]] Piercing&#125&#125 |Rapier/Sword,Rapier and Sword&#125&#125 /w gm &{template:default&#125 {{name=+1 Rapier&#125&#125 {{attack=[[1d20+8]]&#125&#125 {{damage=[[1d8+5]] Piercing&#125&#125 /w gm &{template:default&#125 {{name=Silvered Shortsword&#125&#125 {{attack=[[1d20+7]]&#125&#125 {{damage=[[1d6+4]] Slashing&#125&#125 /w gm &{template:default&#125 {{name=+1 Rapier&#125&#125 {{attack=[[1d20+8]]&#125&#125 {{damage=[[1d8+5]] Piercing&#125&#125 }

Taking the line breaks out apart from where needed (as distinctions for the individually whispered templates) works for me. The blank line you see is usually as a result of the chat being sent a blank message from a line break, the following worked nicely in my tests for both results: /w gm &{template:default} {{name=?{Attack|Rapier/Axe,Rapier and Axe&#125&#125 /w gm &{template:default&#125 {{name=+1 Rapier&#125&#125 {{attack=[[1d20+8]]&#125&#125 {{damage=[[1d8+5]] Piercing&#125&#125 /w gm &{template:default&#125 {{name=+1 Handaxe&#125&#125 {{attack=[[1d20+6]]&#125&#125 {{damage=[[1d6+3]] Slashing&#125&#125 /w gm &{template:default&#125 {{name=+1 Rapier&#125&#125 {{attack=[[1d20+8]]&#125&#125 {{damage=[[1d8+5]] Piercing&#125&#125|Rapier/Sword,Rapier and Sword&#125&#125 /w gm &{template:default&#125 {{name=+1 Rapier&#125&#125 {{attack=[[1d20+8]]&#125&#125 {{damage=[[1d8+5]] Piercing&#125&#125 /w gm &{template:default&#125 {{name=Silvered Shortsword&#125&#125 {{attack=[[1d20+7]]&#125&#125 {{damage=[[1d6+4]] Slashing&#125&#125 /w gm &{template:default&#125 {{name=+1 Rapier&#125&#125 {{attack=[[1d20+8]]&#125&#125 {{damage=[[1d8+5]] Piercing&#125&#125}

Hadn't thought to put the second option on the same line, I guess I had just assumed that they needed to be on their own line since the ones I've found seem to have all had them on their own lines.

You are most welcome! It's possible that the recent editor update may have introduced more of these blank lines in code, using shift+return to do... ... this, rather than... ... this might alleviate it, or simply concatenate things onto a single line (you can still use multiple lines to increase readability while building the macro in the first place however) ;)
