Gifting a sub to game creator or GM

In the current game I am playing the GM is not the creator and the creator is a player. If I were to gift a sub do I still need to give it to the creator in order for us to take advantage of dynamic lighting and such? or would I give it to the current GM? Thanks

Subscription features in a campaign are indeed based on the subscription level of the creator of the game, not the GM . So in this case, yes, you would need to gift the creator.
