Roll20 Interface Randomly Reloads and becomes glitchy.

Hi, I began having this issue today, after having a few years without issue. I am the GM for the campaign, load into the campaign, and then before a few minutes browser flashes black before reloading and the map being blank and shrunk. Cursor selects things on the map a few units to the right as depicted, and the map is missing. It flashes a black browser every minute or less. Opening up a new browser to report the bug, I see both browsers are flashing now. Web Browser : Chrome Browser Version : 69.0.3497.81 Operating System: Windows 10 (64-bit) If Javascript is enabled: Yes Your anti-virus software: AVG List of any browser add-ons or extensions enabled: Adblock Refused to execute inline script because it violates the following Content Security Policy directive: "script-src 'self' 'unsafe-eval' https://*.googlesyndication.com https://*.doubleclick.net https://partner.googleadservices.com https://www.googletagservices.com https://ssl.google-analytics.com https://www.google-analytics.com https://ajax.googleapis.com http://ajax.googleapis.com https://d3clqjduf2gvxg.cloudfront.net https://cdn.firebase.com https://*.firebaseio.com https://*.tokbox.com https://*.opentok.com http://static.opentok.com http://www.google-analytics.com http://cdn.crowdin.com https://crowdin.com http://stun.l.google.com". Thanks for going through the steps, Andrew. I'll pass this to a dev.
This is the same issue I was having. Switched to Firefox for the time being without incident.
Thanks for the note about the workaround Jerod. I’d prefer not to have to install a new browser simply to use roll20. I’ve been using it for 4 years with chrome without issue.
Me too. Same issue. in my group only happens with who updated the chrome recently. on Edge works normally
I am experiencing the same thing today. It started happening after a Chrome update (I have same version as OP). The issue is only on pages with Dynamic lighting. I have also cleared cache, history, etc and rebooted machine all to no avail. I tried a couple different games and pages.
Hi everyone! Could you provide the name of the game you are experiencing this issue in? Does this seem to happen even in a new game? Are there any clear reproduction steps so that we can try to replicate the issue? Thank you!

@Drespar It happens in all games I have that I tested with. "Skunkworks", "Anathema Dawn", "Eris". Just open any page with Dynamic Lighting and AFoW and then wait. You don't have to take any action. Eventually the browser will blank out and then return. When it does, the map image is gone, but tokens will be there. Reload the page is the only recovery. The problems do not happen on pages with DL-AFoW off. I think I had it happen with just DL on, but need to validate with further tests. Happy to jump in a game and chat with you if you want. EDIT: Interesting. Just happened when I was testing Tracker Jacker script on a page not running DL or AFoW in my Skunkworks game.

Hi Drespar, Ive has this issue with each map I’ve added dynamic lighting to in The Search for Golarion. Removing dynamic lighting didn’t seem to stop the blinking of the page until I refreshed roll20. Best Regards,
I managed to have a look at your games, unfortunately, I was unable to replicate the issue on my end. I have submitted a ticket to the devs for further investigation. Sorry for the inconvenience everyone!
interesting. It was like clockwork over the weekend. I'll bring it up and test some more, but I have made no changes. It all started right after the Chrome update. I am not aware of any chrome patches since, but I suspect it was chrome related. I'll let you know if it happens again.
so far so good. Been up and running for an hour with no issues. Strange, but I'll take it.
I'm also no longer having any issues running the same setup on Chrome. Has the dev team made changes?
I think it was actually caused by a Chrome update and then fixed by a later Chrome update. I'd not relaunched by browser for a few days (preventing the auto-update), but after manually doing so it worked fine for me.

I just haven't had any further chrome updates that I am aware of...things just started working normally. Haven't had a problem since I posted above.
