[LFP] D&D 5e Dragon Heist into Mad Mage - Experienced Players Only [Weds @ 9 EST]

I'm starting a new long term campaign that's going to begin with Waterdeep: Dragon Heist and roll into Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage when it releases. We'll be playing on Roll20 (obviously) and using Discord for voice. We will be playing on Wednesdays starting at 9 PM EST and running approximately 3 hours. A bit about me as a DM: I've run multiple 5e campaigns on Roll20. In my experience, they typically peter out as players abandon the game. Over time I've accrued a few consistent players who are engaged and contribute. I'm looking to add to that number for this campaign. If you can't commit long term, that's okay! I've been there! But if you can't commit this isn't the game for you. As far as expectations of players: knowing Roll20 and 5e well is required. I'm well versed in both systems and the other players are similarly knowledgeable, so this game will be for (relatively) experienced players only. I don't mean you need to know how many second level spell slots a level 7 Paladin has off the top of your head, but knowing how to create a character, fill out your sheet, and play that character is required. Basically, if I ask for a Dex Saving Throw, you don't have to ask what to click. Additionally, this game is for mature players only. Not that we don't joke around, but there's a definite je ne sais quoi to it. For reference, we're all ~30 give or take. Breaking out a sick Ghostbusters reference when you enter a haunted house is awesome, trying to roleplay a character from Rick & Morty is not. Now that the boring legalese is taken care of, please send me a message or reply here if you're interested. Give me a brief blurb as to who you are as a player so I can figure out if you'd be a good fit. Thanks.
Hello! I'm Jacob. I've been playing rpgs for many years now, 5e since it came out. I'm more of a "role"player than a "roll"player, preferring a more 60/40 split when it comes to roleplaying vs combat. I like creating characters that fit nicely into the world and have plenty of room to grow throughout the campaign. Usually I go for a support-ish role, but I've found playing "fill" to be the best support one can do. Outside of D&D I like food, so expect me to talk about food. I also have no tolerance for racist, homophobes and other bigots. So that's me! Good luck with your campaign!
Greetings, I go by Moon or Shade, depending on which the group decide to call me. I'm generally enjoy a 55/45 combat-roleplay split, which doesn't mean that combat must happen every session. I enjoy creating characters that grow and changes during play from a basic concept, going mostly to spellcasting or gish characters. As a not, I am 22 going on 23 if that matters.
Your name: Boss Your age: 47 Your Experience with Dnd 5e: Mostly, as a player for about 18 months online. No Adventure League. From level 1 up to 20. Typically, around level 9-10. What do you enjoy about Dnd: Exploration and character development are the main reasons. The company of other players participating together to build a story. Do you have a working microphone: Yes. What is an interesting thing about yourself: I am homing beacon for people in need. I'd get chosen first in a crowd of 100 people. Is that a good thing? Either, I look gullible or charitable. Maybe, I need to stop smiling. lol
Hello there, My name is Dustin and I have been playing D&D for about half of my life through the 3.5 and 5e system. When it comes to playing D&D I have played pretty much every class and except for some of the subclasses in Xanathar's as I have had not had alot of time to play them all, so I am fairly knowledgeable on what each class does in terms of spellcasting and abilities so I can play anything that will suit the party. I usually write out my character in ways that fit the class and use that to bring the storytelling up front. Examples being that I am playing a barbarian in another campaign who has the body and destructive capabilities of a heavyweight UFC fighter, but has the mind of a child and likes to hug everything whenever possible. I have played a samurai who was very disciplined in his actions and questions everything in terms of NPCs motives and where to go next to complete a task. I am about to play a warforged in another campaign that basically looks like the Mark XXIV Iron Man armor and has the personality of Data from Star Trek. All in all, I am a fairly skilled player and I am comfortable playing anything with anyone.
