I just made a new game, and my players have joined. But they are unable to make a char sheet, let alone allowing me to assign one myself.

Player's aren't able to create anything inside the VTT, the GM will need to create character sheets and assign them in edit. I would suggest turning off any extension or add-on to your browser. Can you post any images of what is happening?
