SEVERE Loading issues - Roll20 is unplayable

Additional info. It seems to be specific to that game. I had create a completely new game to manage to keep playing. As far as other possible causes, I did have at least 100 roll-able tables but I cleared a lot of them and the Macros out when I first started to have latency issues. This does also seem to have impacted the entire session as on the brief moments where it was even responsive, I created a new black map and switched to it but it still will crash if i load into it.

And a final note for exactly what happens. It attempts to load the page for at least a solid minute. My players get sever lag but they can at least get into the session. It's just me that seems to be having the issue.

Did some more troubleshooting off of a closely related article . AdBlocker is already turned off for your page. The DNS was set to 1.1.1.1 before I joined roll20 and I disabled all addons and avg previously.

It looks like you've been through the preliminary steps. My first guess is that you either have an enormous map on the loading page, or a huge preponderance of large characters and/or pages. However, a dev should be able to tell what's what. I'll send a note through channels. Please post the name of the affected game, unless I missed that.

Absolutely. I have worked in IT so I'm somewhat familiar with most of the standard troubleshooting steps. The exact name of the game is <--! The World of Inndalar -->. I have the tags so that I can hide the title and have only my banner but I can change that back if that has problems for y'all being able to access the game. The map that started the issue is larger than what the standard size is which is why I tried turning off the grid. The two city maps are 25x40 and the rest are 25x25. Admittedly, part of what might have brought about part of the problem is the massive amount of dynamic lighting put on my Cragcaster map but the fact that this is happening regardless of what map it's on right now is why I've submitted this. The biggest issue that would still be impacting it is the large amount of monsters that I have archived. There's about 700 placeholders but from how I understand it, those should all be archived so the problem shouldn't be related to that, right?

And also admittedly, while the maps are 25x40, their grids were set at 0.25 which is yet another reason why I turned them off because I learned about how the software is actually doing a redraw for each asset similar to a vector program.

I can't give an authoritative answer on the map grid/scale situation, but the monsters are definitely an issue. Archiving is purely cosmetic. All characters and pages (though I don't think the map graphics themselves) are loaded into memory at startup time. If your desire is to archive monsters that are not immediately needed, I would suggest a Library Campaign , once your current situation is resolved.

The tip on archiving is extremely helpful. I've already created separate copies as soon as my macros and monsters started slowing the game down but most of what I find online suggests that archiving is helpful so it's good to know that it's purely cosmetic. I will continue to try to get into it and see if I can clear out those monsters at very least and I'll keep an eye out for those devs. I suspect they'll tell me to stop being so excessive and breaking y'all's platform! :P Thanks for your help, Keith!

No worries. You're still in the dev report, so hang on. I also did some checking and found that the wiki section on archiving did not contain this information, so I have fixed that. Thanks for the motivation to check.

My one question would be short of copying the game without character sheets and just moving over the pertinent characters with a transmogrifier, is there any other way to delete multiple items at once?

700 monsters is almost certain to cause performance issues. It should also be faster for all of your players. Do you want me to leave this issue open?
