I have an ongoing campaign loosely based on the Forgotten Realms. I'm looking for a player or two to join up. My DMing style is a bit more player choice vs. narrative driven. There are larger things happening in the world, but the players don't necessarily have to engage with them and can adapt the world in other ways. I want to give everyone the freedom to be their characters and have fun. That being said I do ask that players try not to ruin other players fun by doing things like robbing them for no reason or trying to kill other PCs. I do enjoy to have a lot of roleplaying in my games, but will try to adapt campaigns to player interest. The game I am running is based mostly around the Sword Coast and the North. One of the major plot lines involves the collapse of the Lord's Alliance due to years of relative peace without a serious outside threat and political infighting. Neverwinter, The Jewel of the North, recently left the Lord's Alliance to focus their resources on a war with Luskan, a powerful pirate haven, and Waterdeep, a powerful trading city, is reconsidering their involvement feeling that they lose too much and gain to little from their support of the Lord's Alliance. The party is currently trying to avoid some of the larger conflict and heading east towards the Elven style city of Silverymoon. They are currently seeking their fortune from smaller towns along the way who are finding themselves hard pressed to deal with local monster and bandit populations without the support of the Lord's Alliance. If this sounds like the kind of game you'd like to play in, feel free to respond to this thread or send me a message. Tell me a bit about yourself and the character you'd want to play. Right now we're at level 4, and I allow most published material including Unearthed Arcana. We communicate over Discord through voice chat, so you have to have Discord and a functioning mic preferably without a ton of background noise. We could really use a more tanky type character like a barbarian or a fighter, but don't let that stop you from being the character you want to play. Also experience isn't necessary, I'd rather have someone who's fun to hang out with than an expert on D&D.
