[LFP] [Pathfinder] Experienced Central Time Pathfinder GM looking for highly available players for RP heavy game! New players entirely welcome.

Hey guys. My name's Gray and I've been DMing for about 12 years- mostly with 3.5 and Pathfinder. I'm looking for self-motivated players who want to interact with the world more than they want to kill things. I most enjoy player-driven games where players find their own goals in the world I present. My schedule is currently open for the most part, and for this group, I will need yours to be as well. Since I'm asked each time this is posted, I'll clarify: There is not a set date to play. We will play when enough (Usually ~2/3rds) of the group is online and wanting to play. Recaps are done every session to catch up anything that's missed, so you don't have to worry about that too much. I'm aiming to play multiple times a week, so high availability is necessary.  We'll be playing in Faerun for the duration of the campaign, but it's my version of Faerun. As I like to say, the lore serves me, not the other way around. As for race and class restrictions, I greatly prefer that players choose more "normal" races for their first character with me. Basically, a race that commonly appears in nearly every campaign you may have played in DnD- no monster races, obviously. I need to learn how they play without any gimmicks in the way. Once I'm comfortable with you, however, I'm open to most anything so long as the group is okay with it. As far as Classes go, Gunslinger, Summoner and Occult classes are banned, but most all others are available. We'll of course be using Roll20 for the map and sheets and such, and Discord for voice communication.  So, if this sounds like something that interests you, I'd love to hear back from you- new players especially. Make sure to include availability in your message and I hope to hear from you guys soon.  -Gray (And for any of you curious as to what Pathfinder is, I best sum it up as a much more polished and expanded on version of DnD 3.5. It is more complicated than 5e, but it allows you to do so much more with it. I've taught many a new player how to play, so don't feel like you're going to have to learn everything at once and on your own.)
Hi! Im interested if you'll have me. I have more experoence in 3.5 and 40k rpgs than Pathfinder but I have played before. I personally prefer roleplay to combat so i think this could be really fun. What days do you normally hold games and about what times? I have a pretty lenient schedule so i should be able to make most anything work My only constraints are saturday mornings as i have a weekly 5e game
Hello, I'm interested in joining if you'll have me. My experience is mostly with Pathfinder (Society that is, although its been years since I played) and Rogue Trader. Unfortunately PF Society play isn't heavy on the role-play aspect so I'll need some time to get into the swing of things. Been watching a lot of Critical Role lately and it has made me want to get back into RPGs and try my hand at more role-play. In terms of knowing the rules I actually spend time reading d20PFSRD for fun, I enjoy looking through all the archetypes and abilities in an attempt to make interesting characters. I'd like to ask what exactly we'll be using for communication as that doesn't seem to be in the post. My availability is very open at the moment so I expect I'd be down to play almost anytime.
Hi Gray! Definitely interested! We've gamed together before, and I still have fond memories of that campaign. Looking to return to playing Pathfinder again. Availability: Starting a new job soon, which will be 3-4 days a week (3 days one week, 4 days another), 12 hour shifts - which means I have 3-4 days a week off. I'm on GMT (so Central Time +6 hours). Since I know the Pathfinder system pretty well, what I can offer to do is build my character for the "missing role" in the group. For instance, if the group needs a healer, or a Rogue, or so on, I can make all of those fun - so I can cover the blind-spots for the rest of the party to make sure everyone can play what they want.
Well met all, I am game if you will have me I will say that I am not that familiar with pathfinder but I have played a game or 2 and am sure I could pick it up pretty quickly. Most of my time has been spent playing 5e and a little 4e. I am a player that Loves the lore and the story more than the number crunching of combat.  As to the availability I make my own hours at work so I have some flexibility there.  When it comes to classes I normally will fill a role that is not taken. To me the cohesion of a group is infinitely more important than the individual. But as most time people dont like to get stuck in the role Support is what I tend to play the most be it bard or cleric. So if you are ok with me asking questions until I figure out the ins and out of whats going on I would love to play.
Guess it won't hurt to throw my hat in this ring as well. Hello, nice to meet all you fellow applicants! I've been roleplaying for an extensive amount of t ime, but only got in to TTRPGs ~1 1/2  year ago.  My first game was 3.5 which lasted a few months, then I switched over to 5e for the remainder of the time. So I don't have much pathfinder experience beyond the times I've come across it or looked at an interesting class when it was brought up.  When it comes to availability, I am in EST (GMT-5) and my only occupied day at current are Sundays from 2pm to 6/7pm.  Other than that,  I should be free barring some random happenstance.
Sounds like there's a lot of interest, I would love to get some pathfinder experience as I've only ever played 5e before. I have completed 3 separate campaigns irl and want to get into using Roll20, while I have done combat focused campaigns I tend to enjoy RP heavy ones a lot more.  When it comes to availability I study full time (Monday-Wednesday) and work part-time on other days (it changes quite frequently). I run on AEST GMT+5 but I can plan around commitments to fit play time in (I've been doing it for years). As long as you don't mind me asking questions about how Roll20 works I can mostly learn about Pathfinder through friends that DM it and by playing it.  I hope to be adventuring with you all soon!
Hello Gray, I'm very nearly game-starved right now, so I'd like to throw my hat into the ring as well.  My experience started with 2nd Ed AD&D, but my most-played is D&D 3.0/3.5.  I've played a little Pathfinder, and made a lot of characters.  Most of my time playing was focused on action at the time, and my only heavy RP experience was back in 2nd edition in an IRC-alike.  Trying to remember the name...webRPG, I think?  Can't remember.  I'd like more RP.  Have played/built characters on other systems.  Total experience time: 22 years. That being said, I'm in Eastern time zone (Central +1) and am available most evenings/weekends.  I generally prefer non-magic-focused melee combatants, and I'm still practicing my optimization (usually get distracted by neat feats/features).  I also strongly tend to play humans.  I've probably got the general gist on Pathfinder's workings, but Roll20 interface is something I'm not practiced in. I hope to enjoy playing with you soon.
Good day.  I am interested in your group.  I am new to r20 and haven't played in a long time and want to get back into things.  I have never played Pathfinder though.  My flexibility is pretty open atm and I will be doing some research into Pathfinder.   I generally like to play rogue type characters, if that makes any difference to you.   Look forward to hearing from you. Bill
