Hello Rollers! Our forums have long provided the Roll20 community with a great deal of its heartbeat. From developer interactions during feature tests with Pro users to the amazing Character Sheet and API creation, Roll20 would not be what it is today without our forums. There are a number of things about our forums that worked for a smaller community that have not scaled well with our current size and do not properly represent the workings of Roll20 staff nor the wishes of our users. We've heard-- and share-- your dissatisfaction with the forums, and as alluded to in our recent  Community Roundtable , we are going to be making several changes in addition to the recent  Code of Conduct changes . Suggestion Forum We are starting off with an overhaul to the way we interact with  Suggestions & Ideas Forum . There are several components to this as outlined in the updated sticky post . With these changes we are looking to provide more comprehensive feedback and more interaction on the high-vote threads. Moderation Changes We have enlisted the help of  ModSquad  on the Roll20 forums. In order to best assist our community, we have decided to work with this outside resource that acts as an organization paid to be knowledgeable in helping take care of general mod duties and helping to facilitate Roll20 staff's ability to engage with the community. As many may know, our previous moderators were volunteers from among the community. With these changes to moderation we wanted to make sure we recognized their dedication to the community. As such, we have introduced a new posting badge-- "Forum Champion." This badge is to recognize those in the community that have gone above and beyond in helping others. To begin, the volunteer mods will be the first to show off this badge, but we hope in the future to expand this program to others who have been helpful in the community. Lastly, we want to say "Thank you!" to the outgoing mods-- you have been a phenomenal help to both the community and us and we are truly grateful for everything! Whats Next? Well the beginning said "Sub-Forum" not just suggestions! Aside from the aforementioned changes, we want to also make sure we take a close look at the Bug Report & Technical Issues forum as well as the Looking for Group forum. On the docket is to improve our offerings for technical support and provide better tools both for self help and bug reports. We want to ensure we can implement a better organizational structure to make things easier when running into an issue. To this end we will be looking to launch an official help desk in the future. As for Looking for Group, the end goal here is to deprecate this sub-forum in favor of better tools. With the addition of the  Pick-Up Games system  we are working towards improving the functionality of the  Looking for Group Tool . Currently, there is an unintended and unspoken requirement to create a listing in both the LFG tool and sub-forum to ensure visibility for your game. This is both frustrating and extra work. We want to focus on better sorting tools and lower the searching and promotion burdens placed on the community. Thanks for reading! We are hopeful that these changes will foster better communication between the community and Roll20 and we look forward to continued improvements!
