[LFP][5e][interest-check] Campaign for 3-4 new players

It’s been over 4 years since I last ran a game and I’ve come to miss it. I prefer supportive style of play between the DM and players instead of DM vs PC deathmatch. In my mind, the DM is there to help forge the legend of the players adventures. I am unable to use voice though , so it will be text-only from my part. The players are free to and even encouraged to use voice to communicate between themselves as well as with the world. This set-up has worked well in the past. I do have some conditions: Be civil and polite at the table. Be on time to games. If something comes up, let others know well beforehand. Keep it PG13. A curse now and then is not an issue but do not bring your sexual fantasies into the game. Keep an open mind for the possibility of RP If you have a problem with a ruling, make a note of it and reach out to me after the game and we will work it out. Sessions are possible on most weekdays at: https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?iso=20190126T0430&p1=242&ah=4
Hey Thucar, I am not a new player to D&D but I have never played before, I have read and watched tons of stuff about the game and have DM'd games with some of my friends but they all end up hating. This is why I came to Roll20 to look for a gorup here. I would love to be a part of a regular campaign and me being in the UK works well with your timezone as well. Just one thing is that I'm only 14, I completely understand if you don't want a younger player in your campaign but I hope you don't mind. Thank you, Moony
Hello my name is Tyler, my girlfriend Jess and I are looking for a new player friendly game. I have experience with 5E and Jess hasn't played before. We are both 29 and live in the EST time zone, we are free on Friday nights and all Saterday. I like a good mix of combat and RP, and Jess likes the RP side. We would want to play a pair of drow siblings, who ran away from our noble house and undercity. She wants to play a rouge and i would play a monk. We escaped on the night of our family's conquest, the 8th House, Hira, had lost favor with the spider god. Our House, Fearune, was the 9th, and have been patiently waiting for the oppertune time to strike. Well we were suposed to be leading an assualt on the rear of House Hira, we abbadoned our posts and off into the tunnels of the underdark. We spent weeks maybe even months in the tunnels it was hard to tell, even for a underground dweller like the Drow. Every day was a struggle for survival, scouring the ground for mushrooms, once they manged to kill a wild tunnel lizzard, much like the ones a noble of their standint was accustomed to riding. One night they wandered onto the surface and were completely taken a back. Instead of a stone ceiling their was a blanket of twinkling light, in the roof of the world had a round light on it but it didn't seem as bad as thier childhood stories would have lead them to believe. The dawn was an unwelcome suprise. They have been travelling from town to town trying to meek out an existence. Staying at the places where they weren't confused for vampires who stalk the night, they took what jobs they could get.
I do have a couple questions. how many players are you looking for and is the world a home brew or official?
Hi Thucar, This does sound quite interesting to me. I haven't played many Dnd games before but I have read the player's handbook, and I have a good grasp on the rules. I quite enjoy RP though I may or may not use voice. What day's would work for this game? The weekend would be best, but Friday is good as well. It would be quite difficult to squeeze it onto a any other weekday. Hope i'm not to restrictive, Guineapig

I'm looking for 3-4 players. Preferably new to the game and looking to learn. I will be aiming for players of roughly equal experience level to avoid scenarios where seasoned players get frustrated with new players taking too long with their turn, or asking questions they consider common knowledge. The world is official one. We will have a session zero where we go through character creation and general team building where the players themselves get a feel for how we work out as a group. NB! Do not worry about not knowing the rules. If you're interested in the game, I take it you have probably seen it played before. So you likely have a general idea. The goal is for you to learn by playing.
Myself and my girlfriend are looking for a game. I have some experience with DnD 5e though haven't played much, just read a bunch of books. My girlfriend is completely new to it though. We're in the PST timezone and most weekdays are ok with us and the time isn't too much of a problem.
