[LFP] [D&D 5e] [6pm CST Thursdays] Mature player wanted for homebrew adventure

Hi there I am looking for another player in my 5e game. They are currently doing the Tomb of Annhilation module but will be moving on to homebrew adventures when they finish. I plan this campaign to run from 1-20, hopefully.  We currently play with a ratio of around 70-30 rp/combat. I encourage my players to focus on their characters and npcs being people, its important to have goals and ideals and not just play them as an avatar. It is an adult game 18+ though I am not a gm who is down with rping anything like rape/gore.  As I rarely get the chance to play with other ladies, I would prefer to find another woman to fill the spot, but if that doesn't happen it'd be great to find a like minded guy to come and join us. Feel free to message me and if things look good we can chat on discord.
This sounds very interesting and i would love to know more, how large is the group? When does the group generally play? Any more information you could share on the upcoming homebrew campaign? How do you generally run sessions (discord for example). As for me, i'm a 33 year old guy from Sweden, i've played D&D since i was in 6th grade or so, but for some reason i've always gotten "stuck" as the GM, now i do love GMing, but i would -really- love to actually get to play for once. Having GMd for so long, i'm very open to playing pretty much any combination of class/race the party might need, i have more characters bouncing around in my head than i can really remember. Thanks in advance.
Hello.  I'd definitely be interested in joining your group based on the immersion factor alone.  For me, the whole point of playing any rpg is to step into the role and engage the setting from the character's perspective.  That being said, I do understand the nature of the co-op narrative and the fact that it is a game with rules and random dice rolls.  As far as class/race/background, I try to create realistic characters that have arrived at who they are in a sensical manner. Anyway, I'm 45, male, have been involved with rpgs (D&D primarily) for somewhere around 25 years - mosty (always :P ) as the GM.  I'm pretty mellow and easy to get along with and would just love a chance to play with a group of mature, like-minded people.  If you'd like to know anything else, feel free to message me.  Thank you for your time. Curtis
Can I be allowed to join and be an immortal Murder Hobo? Just kidding (maybe?) Hope you have fun with your game though. (Just felt the need to ask this silly question, never had anyone say yes to this tho... and with what you wrote about your game, I can almost hear you scream "NO!" from across the Atlantic, hehehe :P )
Hi, if you're still looking for a Rolaplayer for your campaign, I'm more than interested. I been a DM/Player since when I was 13. Last year I started my first long-term campaign as a DM, with a RP/Combat ratio of 75/25 (including XP) and I've been loving how everyone is involved with their characters. As much as I love my worldbuilding (which is also one of my working/studying subjects for the next 3 years) and NPCs, it's different from having one single beloved character, which makes me kind of jealous of my players (their acting is very convincing too). The campaigns I played as Player didn't go far and only one was homebrew (which I prefer). I really would like to play a long-term homebrew campaign, make a character have a soul of his own, and go on adventure with others and work together, because that's what D&D is about. I like to create consistent characters, aiming to make sense with my backstory and the potential of development during the campaign, I have no problem creating classes outside of my comfortable zone, I like trying new things. I don't know how the progress of your homebrew world is, but I would create a character following the world story and making sense to the party. I'm 21 years old guy from Brazil, the time is more than perfect for me. In case you have one more spot open, my girlfriend (20 years old from USA) is also interested on playing. She doesnt have much experience, but not long ago I DMed for her and other completely new people (on roll20) a full campaign to teach the basics and advanced mechanics (including RP tips) of D&D. Thanks for the opportunity, feel free to message me with any questions or anything, Lucas
