Hello Everyone,
Welcome to my game of the Lost Mine of Phandelver for D&D 5E. I am looking
for 5 NEW players to join me as a new DM. I always wanted to play
D&D and thanks to Roll20, about a year ago I was able to start. I
would like to give some new and interested players the same opportunity.
As I said, this will also be my first time as a DM. As such you can
expect mistakes, fumbles, incorrect use of the rules, etc. However as
new players, I expect the same from you. We will learn together and
hopefully have a lot of fun along the way. We will be using the roll20
module which should help lift the burden for a new DM and allow you the
best experience.
I am opening this group to ALL new players, as such there
will be some limits to content, language, adult themes, etc. This will
be decided by the group. However, we are all here to have fun and as
such, inter-personal conflict between players (not necessarily their
characters though), will not be tolerated.
I am looking to play on Mondays, somewhere between 9am-4PM
PST (I know that may be an odd time for most, but I have Sun-Mon off).
We will probably play for 3-4 hours at a time. I plan on starting to
actually play within the next 1-2 months. (once one of my current
campaigns ends.) The time will be adjusted once players are selected and
we decide on a time as a group. I expect you to be able to make it to
most, if not all sessions. If you join and can't make it for whatever
reason, I expect you to give me as much notice as possible.
As a new player I don't expect you to know every rule
(however I will provide basic rules before we start and , we will have a
session 0, where we go over some of the rules, what I expect from you
(and what you expect from me) and character creation. I will also
contact you before session zero via Discord to go over character ideas,
and help point you in the right direction. I will allow allow published
WotC content for character creation. ( I can explain what this means
later on. I will also allow some Unearthed Arcana content on a
case-by-case basis (mostly to keep things simple from a DM standpoint.)
No evil characters, no PvP or in party thievery.
I look forward to playing some D&D with you and like I
mentioned, this game is for NEW players only, I am really looking to
give new players an opportunity to play.
