Macro to alter a character sheet item

Hey all, I recently started with roll20.  We're playing Champions Complete, and my character alters his attributes based on the activation of a power.  Can someone help me with the syntax to target the actual attribute on the character sheet to change it?  I have found tutorials and walkthrus on how to call a value from the character sheet, just not one to actually alter it.  Thanks!

Unless things have changed, you need the API (a Pro subscriber perk) to accomplish that.  And just to be clear, the creator of the game needs to be one Pro Subscriber.

This is true. Think of the macro language as really advanced and complicated dice rolling. It reports all kinds of things to chat, and can use variables in the form of values from character sheets or tokens, but it can't actually change anything. It can't write. The API is required for that.
