Proposal: The text editor should store text in markdown and provide a preview panel to see what it looks like. The buttons at the top that set up tables, underlining, bold, urls, and other shortcuts would set the markdown text. The Github editor is an excellent example of this type of control, and anyone involved with character sheet development on Github is familiar with it.
