[LFP][5e][Dragon Heist] Sundays, 5PM EST

Hello all! I'll be running a Dragon Heist campaign, followed by Dungeon of the Mad Mage. I like a good mix of combat and roleplaying, most sessions will have combat, but not necessarily every one. I want players to have fun, so the games can be somewhat lighthearted; I definitely won't discourage joking, as long as it's not completely holding up the game. I try to follow most of the basic rules, while still allowing creative solutions to problems. Player vs. DM isn't my play style, I'm generally not looking to kill my players (not saying you can't die though). Mostly, I just want everyone to have fun, and I'll do my best to make that happen. As of right now, we're looking for 2 more players, possibly more, depending on current players' work schedules. I understand that life happens and people can't make every single session. I'm looking for steady players that can make most sessions and who will communicate if something comes up and they can't make it (this has been an issue in the past). We'll use point buy to generate stats, with a total of 32 points to spend and a maximum score of 15 (before racial modifiers). So, nothing from Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica, no Aarakocra, and I'll want to approve any of the typically evil races. No DandDWiki, probably no UA stuff, but I'll at least look at it if someone is really interested. Anything else from the books is okay! The first session will be part session 0 (discussing backgrounds, a little homebrew, etc.) and hopefully a quick session to start the campaign. New players are welcome. Depending on how many applicants I get, I'll keep some people on reserve in case other players drop. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! We have enough players for now, but anyone else interested, please comment or PM me, and I'll contact you if we lose anyone.

Sundays at 5 is great for me. I've used Roll20 for awhile, been a DM and a PC. Fairly new to 5E but I've been playing RPGs for decades and I've already read thru the Player's Handbook. Definitely looking for a good mix but as long as the story and characters are fleshed out well I'm happy. Also if using DnD Beyond I'm proficient with that as well.  PM me if interested. Thx  :)
hi Im interested in this potential campaign, been playing a whole heep of stuff for 4 years now, like character-centric stuff, character interactions and just generally getting "into it", I  enjoy homebrew material and a big proponent of good material
The tone and play style you described sounds up my alley, Sunday evenings are the best time for me, and I've never played Dragon's Heist before. I'm interested! What sorts of information would you like from us?
We have a few people waiting to get their work schedules, but an arcane trickster for sure. A druid, cleric, and monk are maybes. We could definitely take another if there's interest. Any thoughts on what you'd want to play?
It seems a little silly to say "a cleric" when there's already one interested, but I was thinking of an aasimar death cleric. One whose deva is pushing her towards some destructive and purifying destiny, like taking out some terrible (and way above her level) baddies... while she's stubbornly doing what she thinks is best, whether it's helping people, making music, or killing lesser monsters.
Definitely nothing wrong with 2 clerics! And her work schedule might be a problem anyway, she's starting a new job. I'd rather everyone play what they want and not worry too much about filling out the party or whatever. Foe and Amish, if you guys have an idea about what you'd like to play, let me know.
oh I always have quite a few character ideas to go, some from core books others from supplemental material thats NOT peeled off of the swamps of Dandwiki one thats prodominently to mind is Sall the Fiery passionmancer the Fire Genasi glamor bard
I like it. I guess I should add no Aarakocra or races from Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica, and I'll want to approve any of the typically evil races. No DandDwiki (lol), and probably no UA stuff (I'll at least look at it), but anything else from the books is fair game. A Fire Genasi bard sounds very interesting.
Hey, I’m interested in joining your campaign. I’ve only been in a couple of campaigns but I’ve also been big into role playing and have done a lot of studying on the game. I’m a PC that likes to create amazing backstories and really get into my character and  encourage  Others to do the same, so if in someone you would like to get to know more or want in your party let me know. Thank you for reading my post. 😊
Hi Marcus. We might end up with a large group for a few sessions, but I'd rather have a large group than not enough players. I'm also unsure how many of the current group will keep playing. So all 4 of you are in if you're still interested. I'll send invites tomorrow when I'm on my computer. For anyone else interested, feel free to comment with a character concept, and I'll contact you if we lose anyone.
Hello, I am interested in this game, the time works for me. I've been playing regularly with a college buddies group for about 6 months now and would like to play more. I have a Religious Smiting Paladin i've been wanting to play.
Hey Im interested in joining your game! Keep me in mind as a backup player :)
