Champions or Hero Games players and GM's out there in roll20?

I guess I can't complain since it's right there in the name that 20-siders are kind of the rule, but I am a big fan of Hero System, and wish that I could at least select it on the game list. Is there anyone else out there, a community on roll20 of Hero System fans? This topic is just a workaround for me to try to identify a list of contacts on roll20 who like to play and or GM Hero System in one or more of its various incarnations since I haven't seen a way to build a list of "friends" in my roll20 profile. If you play or run (or want to play or run) Hero System aka Champions, just post below so like minded-individuals can contact you for Hero system games through the link to your roll20 account name! NOTE: I'm thinking just posting here and waiting for someone to read your post and follow up with you isn't going to be as effective as: 1) Subscribing (click "Following" in the upper right hand corner of the page) to the topic. 2) Reading through the other posts to find one that sounds like someone you'd try gaming with in a rolld20 session. 3) Taking the initiative to click on their user name link and send them a message asking if they're still interested in playing in a Hero System game or have an opening in a Hero System game that they're running, or whatever. :) And if it works out, maybe even post a testimonial or something just saying when you have had success and are in a game as a result of making contact through this topic? Hello Hero G, I play and GM Hero System 6th edition periodically here on Roll20 so please add me to your list. I have a regular game of AD&D 1E every other Friday, but if we are missing players we play a Dark Champions game my friend is GMing. Thanks, Laz

I am running the game for Laz up above. Wanted to be in the official list here too! Love Hero System. Been thinking about opening up my game to public and get more players, but since its not a set time and day thing, I've been hesitant to.

I have been a fan of the Hero System for awhile, but I haven't actually had the chance to play it much outside of some convention games and a few one shot sessions. I would love to get in on a long term game sometime. I would still technically consider myself a noob, experience wise. I am open to pretty much any genre, though I would really love to play some classic Champions. -Chris

I've been looking to get into a Champions game (I've been in only one, and it lasted naught but three sessions before the GM went MIA.) I've no particular idea as to how to get around making a character, as I had an immense amount of help at the time, but I'd love to get into another game.

Hey we are actually running a Champions/Hero game called Hollywood Knights and are looking for a couple more players. If anyone is interested let me know. Its every Thursday at 7 pm central time and runs till 10.

I played and ran several games back in the 80s/90s. Last summer, I dug out the books and gave it a shot here on Roll20, but the player base wasn't very knowledge-able and the few who were ate me up, as I was behind the curve coming back from 20 years of rolling 20-siders. I like the game and would be interested in playing, but am, from my last experience, not ready to step behind the screen again just yet.

I'll go ahead and put myself on 'the list'; I've been exclusively playing and GMing Hero System since I made the switch from AD&D in the 80's! I am only available for play by post, though, my schedule precluding 'live, real-time' sessions at this time.

I post as Ndreare on most forums (including Herogames.com) and am definitely a Hero lover. We only play two games by default, my own game called A'ier and Hero System. Normally Fantasy Hero. One nice thing is if you use Hero Designer and export into RTF you can simply copy and paste from the export into the text field of the character sheets.

Fifteen (counting me) Hero System players and or GM's have posted to this list so far! I don't know how many it takes to get Hero System listed as a game option, but it's fourteen closer then before! Of course the main point is that you can cruise this list to find Hero System games, GM's, or players on roll20.net!

Hey! Glad to see the Hero System finally getting some attention on this site! I've played and GMed several Hero games. Played: Champions, Post-Apocalyptic setting a-la Fallout. GMed: Champions, DC Universe, Bleach Anime (my favorite :D) I have too many GMing commitments at the moment, but I love to play. I'd really be interested in playing a very heroic Champions setting (not Dark Champions), or an anime setting using either Bleach or Fairy Tail. I'd also consider something in the DC universe, particularly if someone was interested in running a Green Lantern campaign. Very specific, I know, but I play more for the setting than the system. That said, I love the adaptability of the Hero system and how you can use it for just about any setting. It sucks that they haven't added it to the main list of games yet! :P

I'm a Hero System player. I'm new to and not very familiar with Roll20, but have run stuff on Maptool. With sufficient interest I might run a Champions game online in the near future.

Ive only played fantasy but willing to give anything a go.

Hey guys, it's really great to see people posting here looking for Hero System games or players for Hero System game s, but might I suggest that you also consider proactively looking up the thread and PMing people who have previously posted that they are looking for players or a game? That way you won't be depending on someone just happening to see your post. It will be easier when we get Hero System on the list, and you can actually make it searchable when you post for Hero System players or games! :)

I been playing and GMing Champions/Hero System since 1e, and have most of the books since that time. Currently running Champions: Portlandia (6e) in Roll20.

I am an experienced HERO System GM and Player - I am going to try to get a SteamPunk HERO game going here, probably on Monday or Tuesday nights, and would love to join (but not run) an actual Champions game. I don't know the Superhero / Champions genre well enough to run such a campaign.

So, how's it going everyone? Have all the Hero System players found games and Hero System GM's found players?

Is there any interest in a new 6th Edition Hero Champions game (Avengers-style premise) on week nights, 8 - 10 or 11 Eastern Standard Time?

I loved Champions just before it became HERO, and kind-of liked HERO. I've been all caught up in Mutants and Masterminds 2E (can't stand 3E), but I would be quite willing to play if the GM could share game system info and help with character creation and getting re-used to the combat system etc.

Haven't played since 4e, but count me in!

They did say that the goal is to have enough games running on roll20 in a given system that someone using the search term will be pretty much guaranteed to find an open one. Hero System/Champions is pretty far short of that, so in the meantime this list will hopefully be a resource for people wanting a Hero System game, either looking for players or a GM. :-D

Just an FYI for Hero System fans, there's a Kickstarter underway for a new product, a standalone book for Fantasy Hero designed so you won't need any other books to start playing.
