turn order macro for vampire the requiem

Hello Is it possible to make a macro for my players, so when they press the initiative macro then it automatically adds the result to the Turn Order? So far I have only been able to find for anima and for dungeons and dragons 5e.

https://wiki.roll20.net/Macros#Roll_Options Keep in mind that the tracker is tied to tokens, so you do have to have a token selected to roll initiative and have a number added to the tracker from a macro. It does mention it there, but thought it would be worth repeating. The exact macro may change depending on whether you use straight rolls, need to have a query for people to add modifiers manually, or if certain modifiers can be pulled direct from character sheets. Just because an initiative macro was written for another game system doesn't mean it can't give you ideas for making your own!

I really have no idea about macros. I have been looking at the link you send me, but it uses the /rolld 1d20 and then a set modifier. How do I get it to take the modifier from the character sheet?

If you scroll up on the same page, it explains how to do that. @{selected|attribute_name} is one way to get the score of an attribute, as long as you have the token selected. Using /roll is also just an example, you can use the [[ ]] syntax if you dont want to display it as a roll. I'd give a proper version of the macro you need, but I dont know how you roll initiative in Requiem.

But it does dispaly it as a roll, which I don't like.

If you are the dm and don't want to have players see anything for enemy initiative, you could change to /gmroll. Also, if you keep the enemy tokens on the GM layer until needed, they don't show on the turn tracker for players until moved to the token layer. Or maybe I am not understanding what you mean by not liking it displaying as a roll?

If you want to see the number, but not the dice icons, you can wrap it in inline roll brackets Initiative: [[1d10 + @{selected|com} + @{selected|dex} &{tracker}]] Just replace the Intitaive: text at the start with anything you want (or nothing)
