How do I create my first character on roll20

I am sure there is a noob thread somewhere, but I can't seem to find it.  I am not new to dnd, but new to roll20. I joined a game, and I am trying to figure out how to create a character before the game starts. I have characters on paper, but can't seem to figure out how to create one for roll20. I have seen reference to a tool called charactermancer, but can't seem to find any link to this tool.

The GM or Game's Creator will have to enable you a sheet and assign it to you then you can build your character.
