Manipulating video avatars

Hi,  I'm new to Roll20 and I'm not really a gamer, but I'm impressed with the platform (and did some research in this area 10 years ago ). I'd like feedback on the possiblity of using Roll20 with video chat as a conversational platform for virtual conferences.  (The motivation is actually to allow frequent conference-goers like me to reduce carbon emissions by forgoing long trips).   As in a real-life convention, individual (video avatar) would be able to move themselves around a shared "conference room," mingling, and engaging in one-to-one or few-to-few conversations.   I'm new to Roll20 but I do see that GMs can move video avatars around, in the shared space. I'm wondering if that could be (or has been) exploited.  One way (I'm speculating here)  might be to assign a token to each player. allow each player to drag his/her own token around have a GM script that moves each video avatar to the location of the token. Perhaps this is enough for a reality check.   Is something like this possible? Is something like this of interest to a scripter like you?

This is pretty far outside the feature profile of Roll20; it's built to emulate a single gaming table, not a convention floor of tables. I think what you might be looking for is something like remo
Thanks Scott, I'm exploring Remo now.  I'd welcome other suggestions. However, Roll20 seems pretty capable, and it is scriptable.   So I'm still seeking answers to my questions ;-)
