I have a 5e game campaign that I am setting up that will run in Early mornings. Your 8 AM at GMT+3. I know you said later hours, but here is the pitch: It is the Year 681, according to the scribes of the Tower of Tomes in the Magocracy of Valonde . The Age of Lost Magick was the Last Age before recorded History. The Legends say: More than 700 years ago, Wild Magick went awry in the Kingdom of Uthithar, causing a great cataclysm, devastating the city of Baardithorp , the Jewel of Uthithar. Many records from before that time were destroyed . The Ancient Dragon Magicks , (AKA The Tomes of Kathrona ), Enchanted Tomes of Vast Power, Scribed in Draconic, were consumed and burned to ash in the hellfire of the Last Female Red Dragon, Xenestrasza , after the fall of the city, to keep them from the hands of looters. Now, long after, most of the magic is now gone from the world, and the Sun hides behind grey clouds, bringing a chill to the air, and ice to the Northron Lands. The setting is Sword & Sorcery. Low Magic, "Low Fantasy" (You are more concerned with staying alive from situation to situation , rather than saving the world from an Army of Dragons, for example. Gritty realism, Healing is slow, and not much healing magic. Lots of priests of religion (especially Dark Cults) but very few Clerics with healing, or spells. Lots of characters in the setting have lingering injuries from the wars of the recent past, that can only be healed by magic, which is rare . There are very few spell casters in the world, that are Good-aligned. Most of the magical power comes from Demons, Devils, Sorcerers with Dragonkin blood, or those touched by the Fey. Because combat is very deadly, a lot of the game will involve plots, intrigue, similar. The party will probably be morally flawed protagonists, fighting against the Last of the Grey Wizards, seen as irrelevant to the needs of the people who are starving, with little work, and increasingly turning to banditry and lawlessness.
